Whenever a customer logs in to the web store he is prompted to continue with his pending shopping carts and complete the purchase. It is also possible for the CSR to follow-up through emails using the data saved in the Manager Panel.

Remind customers of pending carts

Merge shopping carts

Alternatively, the CSR configures for the pending shopping cart to be auto-merged into the current shopping cart when the customer logs in to the web store, saving the customer’s time, and reminding him to make the purchase.

The CSR easily manages all pending shopping carts and their setups via the Manager Panel. Customer data is also stored to help the CSR analyze reasons for cart abandonment and make necessary changes to his strategies.

Channel level setup The CSR configures for the pending carts to be displayed either in a pop-up upon login to the web store, or auto-merged into the customer’s existing shopping cart. Only the customer’s previous sessions’ pending items are displayed with this setup.

Global setup for multi-channel browsingIf multi-channel browsing is enabled for a web store then the pending cart behavior would be determined by the configurations in the Global Setup and would override any channel level setups.

Prompt upon loginThe customer may be prompted upon logging into the web store to purchase items in his pending shopping cart from his previous session. The customer adds the items to his cart for checkout and continues with his shopping for the day.

Auto-merge with existing cartIf this option is selected the items in the pending shopping cart from the previous sessions would be merged automatically into the shopping cart of the existing session. The customer may retain or remove items from this shopping cart and checkout as usual.

Manage pending carts via web store accountAll pending cart items are displayed in the customer’s account on the web store. The customer can add all or some of the items to his shopping cart and proceed to checkout. The remaining items would continue to be displayed in the pending cart menu.

Access detailed records of pending shopping cartsThe Manager Panel records details of all the pending shopping carts, enabling the CSR to contact the customer and persuade him to complete his purchase. Details of the items in the pending cart along with any discounts applicable, tax details, etc. are also displayed by clicking on a particular record in the Manager Panel.

View historical records of pending cartsThe CSR can download reports of pending shopping carts in various file formats and also filter them according to customer, date, size of cart, cart number, customer class, sales person, etc. This data is useful in analyzing the reasons for cart abandonment and can help the Store Manager strategize appropriately for increased sales.
