    IHC WELCOMES NEW FACULTY

    FEBRUARY 10, 2015

    IHC is pleased to announce two new additions to its Faculty: Professor of Mathematics and Physics

    Marvin McClendon and Adjunct Professor of Languages Suha Itani. Dr. McClendon currently teaches

    Mathematics, Physics, and Statistics at IHC where Adjunct Professor Itani presently teaches Arabic.

    Dr. McClendon has a B.A. in Mathematics from Rice University in Houston, Texas, and holds an M.A. and

    Ph.D. in Applied and Computational Mathematics, both from Princeton University. As a graduate

    student at Princeton and as a postdoctoral fellow at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, he

    did research in applied mathematics and theoretical physics. He has taught at a number of colleges and

    universities in the U.S., and most recently was a Professor of Mathematics at the Savannah College of

    Art and Design.

    Adjunct Professor Itani holds a B.A. in Literature in English from Excelsior College in New York and has an

    M.A. in Comparative Literature from the Lebanese American University in Beirut, Lebanon. She was a

    Fulbright Teaching Scholar of Arabic at Florida State University and was nominated for the Outstanding

    Teaching Award in 2007 there. Ms. Itani is an expert in language teaching and has 12 years of experience

    in teaching English, French, and Arabic. She has taught at several American universities in the United

    States, Lebanon, and Kuwait.

    IHC is delighted to welcome these outstanding scholars to our dynamic community.
