Dr. Ishrat-ul-Ebad Khan took the initiative for theestablishment of the Dow University of Health

Sciences. He is a Dow Graduate. He was elected asmember of the provincial assembly in 1990. And later

on became Minister of Housing, Town planning,Environment and Public Health Engineering at a

young age, due to his dynamic personality. He wasappointed as Governor of Sindh in 2002 and eversince

is striving to upgrade the facilities of medicaleducation and health care in Sindh.
