Dear friend(s):

I am pleased to present the “II National Congress on Hydration”, where we will continueto study in depth a matter of growing importance in the area of nutrition: hydration.

Thanks to your very favorable reception, the “II National Congress on Hydration” will bringtogether a significant number of very prestigious health and nutrition professionals todiscuss different aspects of the latest scientific advances on hydration, just as it did in2008 within the framework of the International Water Exhibition.

This conference has come about in response to the need to create a framework for theexchange of ideas that reflects the growing importance of hydration for both health andnutrition professionals and for the population in general. There are indicators of it and theyare scientific consensus documents drawn up by international and national organizationsin wich its importance is emphasized, as well as growing number of related studies, amongpeople of different age groups and different physiological conditions. All of this has led usto become aware of the importance of adequate hydration in our daily diet and of the needto adapt it in order to cater different kinds of needs, which vary depending on a person’sage, physiological condition, amount of physical activity and environmental conditions.

This is why we believe that this “II National Congress on Hydration” may be an uniqueopportunity to create a meaningful milieu for the exchange of scientific knowledge on atopic as relevant as hydration.

Finally, we must give special thanks to the different participating organizations that formpart of this conference. They have put their trust in our ability to promote and communicatethe importance that hydration is gaining on the scientific scene and in today’s society.

We hope to see all of you in Madrid on November 28th and 29th , 2011.

Marcos de QuintoPresident, Coca-Cola Iberia.
