IG‘s methodology involves a comprehensive individual analysis, which identifies deviations in your current speech such as pronunciation, rate of speech, speech patterns, and detrimental speech habits.

Our sessions offer individualized virtual one-on-one instruction. Using existing sound patterns, we provide intense oral motor improvement methods for spoken American Business English. While practicing the verbiage pertinent to your specific area of expertise, we incorporate these verbalizations into your vocabulary.

Who Should Attend?

Professionals who use detrimental speech patterns which diminish their credibility.

Course Options

One-On-One Sessions

Groups: Maximum of 12 participants per group.

Offices:

North America: Boston,Chicago, Los Angeles,Mexico City, Montreal,New York, San Francisco, Seattle, Toronto, and Washington DC.

South America: Buenos Aires, Santiago, São Paulo and Belo Horizonte.

Europe: Berlin, Copenhagen, Frankfurt, London, Milan and Paris.

Asia: Shanghai, Singapore, Sydney and Tokyo.

Course Overview:

Is this type of speech diminishing the credibility of your employees and therefore impacting your business: “He goes….we should be literally on budget and stuff….and so I go….I totally agree and stuff”?

1) Do your employees use these words: totally, like, literally, sorta, kinda, whatever? (These words are un-substantive and diminish the credibility of the Speaker.)

2) Do your employees use these phrases: and stuff, you know, for sure, for real? (These phrases interrupt the attention of the Speaker’s audience.)

3) Do your employees end sentences with “up-speak”? (Gen Yemployees tend to fall into ending every sentence with “up-speak”which appears to the Listener to always be a question, rather than a statement. This type of detrimental speech pattern is also commonly referred to as “Valley-Talk.”)

No business conversation is without a consequence. Often in informal and formal business settings Gen Y employees tend to fall into speech patterns that diminish their credibility with their co-workers, superiors, clients, and potential clients. These non-productive words and detrimental speech patterns are habitual and said without any awareness of their use on the part of the Speaker.

Course Outline:

The effect of using detrimental speech patterns upon the Listener is to judge the Speaker as incompetent which is unfair to the Speaker. It is also unfair to the Listener if he/she is unable to fairly assess the capabilities of the Speaker.

It takes an experienced trainer with a “tuned ear” to recognize these detrimental speech patterns and provide a solution. IG’s Senior Trainerswill identify and replace detrimental speech patterns for each participant.

By participating in IG’s “Gen Y Business Conversations” course, participants will establish new patterns of oral motor behaviors (breaking old habits and creating new, improved ones).

Our Gen Y Business Conversations course offers the option ofindividualized one-on-one or group instruction.

Personalized camera work with individualized DVDs is an optional reinforcement tool.

Course Overview:

In today’s business environment, Story Telling is a critical tool which will support you in achieving your business goals. In our daily lives we often communicate with one another through Story Telling. It is in our DNA. Study after study proves that the message of a story imprints itself in the cognitive center of the human brain and stimulates long-term recollection. Want your audience to remember what you told them? Tell them with a story.

Story Telling is a skill that is not easily acquired. Speakers often feel ill-at-ease when telling a story. A story cannot be forced. It must come naturally to the Presenter. Being comfortable Telling Your Story takes practice, feedback, energy, and self-confidence.

Choosing the right story for the right venue is crucial. Your choice of story says a lot about you. Your choice of story establishes your authenticity, which in turn forges trust with your audience. If your audience trusts you, they are more likely to be moved into action by your message.

Acquire the skills to be a memorable, impactful Story Teller - - - the most potent of all influencing skills.

Course Outline:

We at IG say focus “forward” (FWD). There are three key elements that must be mastered: (F)ind, (W)rite, and (D)eliver.

I) (F)ind your business story. It is the business objective whichdictates the story, not the other way around. One story will never fit every business objective. With the insight and direction of your IG Senior Trainer, you will find your business story that directly relates to a positive business goal.

II) (W)rite your business story. Using IG’s “Five Step Methodology,”you will write a business story that captivates your audience. The goal of IG’s Five Step Methodology: (1) Create a direct link to your business goals, and (2) Create a concise business story.

III) (D)eliver your business story. Your story is only as good as its delivery. Utilizing IG’s “Tell Your Story Content Road Map,” you will acquire the skills to delivery an exceptional business story: 1) Define, acquire, and project a presence that is uniquely yours; 2) Deliver your own distinct, dynamic and memorable brand; 3) Deliver your business story in a natural and authentic manner and 4) Synchronize your verbal and non-verbal communication (eye contact, gestures, body-language).

Personalized camera work with individualized DVDs is an optional reinforcement tool.

Course Overview:

Until now, the “IT Factor” has rarely been applied to I.T. professionals.

Story Telling, the new “buzz word” in business, has not been warmly embraced by I.T. professionals. We at Illuminata Global (IG),understand the resistance to “Story Telling” on the part of I.T.professionals. Our approach to Story Telling is different, unique, and time-tested.

Every I.T. professional has a story, but choosing the right story as the introduction to your Presentation takes time, patience, and practice. Your choice of story says everything about you to your audience. The benefitsof beginning your I.T. Presentation with a Story are three-fold: 1) they get to know you, 2) they trust you, and 3) they listen to you.

Story Telling is a powerful tool when delivered in conjunction with clear and concise graphs, charts, and slides. Our course focuses on developing and delivering a straight-forward, business related I.T. Story. Your story is woven into your I.T. presentation.

It is the facts which dictate the outcome of every legal issue or legal case. Presenting to a potential client, a current client, or a jury demands complete attention to detail. However, the audience (whether jurors, clients, or potential clients) may be overwhelmed by abstract dense, not easily understood facts.
