I’m getting a COVID19 vaccine on Jabba the bus!
Getting the vaccine will help prevent me from getting sick from COVID19.
This is Jabba the bus.
If it is a cold day, I might need a coat. If it is
a hot day I might need a hat and a bottle
of water.
I will need to use hand sanitizer and my temperature will
be taken. I will scan a QR code. I will get a sticker on my
top. The nurses will wear protective clothing.
I will go to the desk – the desk might be inside or outside. I can have someone else with me. The nurse will ask me questions and type on
their computer.
Then I wait my turn. I will wait outside the bus.
I can bring a chair to sit on and other things that I enjoy, like my iPad or a book or anything that makes me feel happy and safe.
I go onto the bus. I can have someone else with me. A nurse will ask my name and when my birthday is. The nurse will ask me if I understand about the COVID19 vaccine. It’s OK to feel scared.
The nurse will talk to me if I am worried and answer my questions.
It is best to wear loose clothes. The nurse will roll up my sleeve and clean my arm. The
nurse will give me the vaccine using a needle. It may feel like a pinch. The nurse will put a
Band-Aid on my arm.
I will leave the bus and wait in another place.
I can have someone with me. I will need to
wait for 15 minutes.
