• Undertake 16 hours theory

• Complete an open book assessment

• Complete a clinical assessment on a minimum of two vaccinations appropriate to the clinical area

• General immunisation principles

• Appendices 3 & 4

Course priority

Those delivering childhood schedule vaccines will get priority on two day vaccinator training courses.

To avoid disappointment

• Registration with payment required at least 4 weeks prior to course date

• Courses will only be held if minimum numbers are met 3 weeks before the course

No refunds - please choose carefully

• Give 3 weeks notice to the education offi ce by email if you are unable to attend. With adequate notice we can attempt to transfer once in the same calendar year

• No late cancellations - fee is forfeited

Information sharing

Your details may be forwarded to the Immunisation Coordinator/Pharmaceutical Society, and used for reporting purposes.

Certifi cates

To print and deliver a replacement certifi cate costs $25.

Can enrolled nurses undertake a

vaccinator training course?

Yes, but they are not eligible to apply for authorised vaccinator status.

Where do I get the Immunisation

Handbook from?

Order a hardcopy or download an electronic copy at health.govt.nz, search ‘Immunisation Handbook’. The online version is the most current.
