Construction & Installation

Construction.Berndorf Bäderbau has been a leading manufacturer of swimming pool complexes since 1960. At thebeginning of the 70s, product development led from aluminium pool production to the industrial fabrication of stainless steel swimming pools.Through this long-term experience a special construction method was developed. It is characterised byflexible adaption to a wide range of conditions. The objective is the industrial prefabrication of the components in the factory, in order to keep final assembly on the construction site to an absolute minimum.

When refurbishing swimming pools, all kind of scopes are possible. From simple replacement of the poollining to variations with a partially self-bearing structure. All construction measures can also be implementedin accordance with the requirements of monument preservation regulations.When building new open-air pools the horizontal pool wall forces, caused by the water load when the poolis filled, are diverted via a system of lateral supports. At indoor pools these forces are transferred via fasteningelements on the overflow channel directly into the bare concrete slab neighbouring the pool.

Installation.Due to the modular design and simple foundations, it is possible to replace or install a complete poolcomplex in a very short construction time.All construction elements are welded together on site and guarantee complete water tightness.Pool installations are integrated in the wall elements in the factory and installed as prefabricated parts.Underwater spotlights, massage nozzles and various suction and flow devices are welded tight in the factory and subjected to water tightness testing. This enables fault-free installation of these componentson site.
