Bible Study Lesson: UNEARTHING A MOLE Key Bible Verse: Proverbs 11:13 — “A talebearer revealeth secrets: but he that is of a faithful spirit concealeth the matter.”

Other Scriptures: Leviticus 19:16 — “Thou shalt not go up and down as a talebearer among thy people: neither shalt thou stand against the blood of thy neighbour; I am the Lord.”

Proverbs 18:8 — “The words of a talebearer are as wounds, and they go down into the innermost parts of the belly.”

Proverbs 20:19 — “He that goeth about as a talebearer revealeth secrets: therefore meddle not with him that flattereth with his lips.”

Proverbs 26:20 — “Where no wood is, there the fire goeth out: so where there is no talebearer, the strife ceaseth.”

This past week, a senior official in the Trump Administration reportedly made a number of negative comments to the radical New York Times newspaper about the President of the United States. They shared information from confidential meetings at the White House but did so anonymously, asking not to be identified. This cowardly act of treason is yet another example of why God tells us it’s wrong to gossip. The truth of the matter is that a person who gossips can never be fully trusted, no matter how much they may try to reassure otherwise. Those individuals who repeatedly talk about others behind their back or reveal things that were spoken of in confidentiality are usually the same ones who don’t want their own personal lives and secrets to be made known. Rest assured God knows all about them and what they’re doing, and some day it will all be made known. Are you a gossiper today? Repent of it now and learn to practice the lost art of being trustworthy.

Sincerely, Mr. Chris J. Grego Please feel free to call or e-mail me with any questions that you may have. Phone: (570) 809-2717 E-mail: [email protected] It is my sincere hope and prayer that you will find a new life in Christ and experience the joy of walking with Him each day.

Prophecy fulfilled after red cow is born at Temple of Israel: An all-red heifer was born at the Temple of Israel on September 4, fulfilling a Biblical prophecy to reinstate purity to the world and the rebuilding of the Holy Temple. The sacrifice of a red heifer is essential to the construction of a third temple in Jerusalem, which would bring the coming of the Messiah and final judgement.

Tropical Storm Florence prompts state of emergency in Carolinas: The governor of South Carolina has followed North Carolina in declaring a state of emergency as Tropical Storm Florence becomes a “better organized” system. The approaching storm prompted North Carolina Gov. Roy Cooper to declare a state of emergency on Friday, a step that makes resources available for addressing the storm's effects. The storm is expected to bring heavy rain, dangerous surf and rip currents to the Carolinas. Delta fire continues to grow in Northern California: The massive Delta fire that forced the shutdown of a stretch of Interstate 5 in Northern California this week continues to grow, and the major north-south artery is expected to remain closed until at least Sunday, authorities said. By the end of the day Friday the wildfire had burned 31,325 acres, fire officials said. On Saturday, it had jumped to 36,970 acres. There is 0% containment. More than 1,800 firefighters are battling the blaze. Cincinnati bank shooting: On Thursday a gunman opened fire in a bank lobby killing three and wounding. The incident occurred at Cincinnati’s Fifth Third's bank. Executives of the bank were hustled to a secure room after the shots were fired and the headquarters went into lockdown. From there, bank officials could see the shooting from every security camera in the building and relayed it to police to identify, track and find the shooter. Cleveland firefighters investigate three house fires started within two hours Saturday afternoon: The Cleveland fire department believes arson is responsible for two adjacent house fires that started within a half an hour of each other on Parkview Avenue, along with a third house fire on East 111th Street.

Russia pension protests: Russian police have broken up protests across the country against a planned increase in the retirement age. Nearly 300 protesters were detained and some beaten with batons. The rallies were called by the jailed opposition leader Alexei Navalny, who has capitalised on widespread anger against the reforms. Concessions by President Putin, whose popularity has suffered as a result, have failed to stem the discontent. South Sudan plane crash kills 19: Nineteen people were killed when a small passenger plane crashed into a lake as it tried to land in thick fog in central South Sudan. Only four people, including two children, survived the crash. Rockets fired toward U.S. diplomatic missions in Iraq: U.S. diplomatic missions in Iraq’s capital and the southern oil hub of Basra appeared to be the target of rocket fire Saturday, a day after protesters torched the Iranian consulate in a show of anger against the entire political class and foreign interference. Rockets were fired at Basra’s airport, which houses the U.S. consulate, but landed outside the exterior perimeter and caused no damage, according to Jihad Diwan, the head of media for Iraq’s Civil Aviation Authority. Earlier Saturday, rockets were also fired toward Baghdad’s Green Zone, where the U.S. Embassy is located. Scores killed in deadly wave of violence across Afghanistan: In a chaotic day of violence throughout Afghanistan, scores of police officers, soldiers and civilians were killed by insurgents who, in four separate attacks, overran a major military base, killed a police chief, destroyed a police post and bombed a memorial event. In the capital, Kabul, a commemoration for a man some Afghans regard as a hero turned violent as suicide bombers attacked celebrants, killing seven, and the police arrested more than 100 mourners for shooting in the air. The deadliest single incident was the destruction by Taliban insurgents of an army base in Baghlan Province on Sunday, with at least 22 and as many as 40 security force members killed.
