That’s what people need these days, as the economy squeezes their budgets tighter and tighter. While it is more important than ever that firms guide clients through planning, marketing communications, public relations, branding, promotions, fundraising, and design challenges effectively and strategically, it’s getting harder to afford qualified firms.
In essence, needs are greater and resources more scarce. Many can no longer afford to tackle their marketing communications and brand/design needs on a large scale. Rather, companies, contractors, and organizations are being forced to take smaller steps, with the big picture in mind, or piece together teams of high-level professionals. That’s why we’ve created a new business model that “gets” the big picture but can also work on a smaller scale when needed, from research to planning to implementation.

Founded in 1986 by award-winning designer and published author, Jami Ouellette, Imaj Associates (then called Im-aj Communications & Design) grew from a project-based creative company into a sought-after integrated marketing communications and branding firm, providing the full spectrum of services and big-picture strategies to its clients.
The award-winning company became internationally recognized for effectively combining highly strategic, integrated planning, and outside-the-box creativity.
In 2012, Imaj created a new business model, with Jami Ouellette joining forces with many of her long-time, c-level peers – in fact, the most incredibly talented, proven pool of professionals on the planet – to better meet today’s client needs.
Besides offering the full spectrum of services Imaj is known for, Imaj Associates offers a streamlined approach to services, providing various options:
1. Supplementing internal departments and/or agencies and prime government contractors with expertise and services needed to fill gaps
2. Project-based services with big-picture thinking

Jami Ouellette president, founder, brand manager
Published author, graphic designer and strategic planner, Jami is the founder and driving force behind one of the region’s foremost strategic marketing communications, media relations, branding and design firms. Her national and international recognition has included awards for branding, marketing communications strategic plans, advertising, interactive media, articles and collaterals. Jami speaks nationally on branding, communications planning, as well as speaking on overcoming adversity. She has sat on many education and community Boards and is also the proud recipient of numerous human services recognition awards including The Children’s Crusade Friend to Children Award, The College Crusade’s Partner in Philanthropy, and The Meeting Street Walter Cryan Award.
Jeffrey Morse coo, co-founder, associate
After a decade of experience as a graphic designer, advertising writer and photographer, Jeffrey returned to school and earned his MBA in Finance at Bryant University. For the next 12 years, he played a key role in starting and building Adheris, Inc, a healthcare data-management and analysis company based in Boston. His contributions ranged from software design and development and data analytics, to sales, marketing, accounting, and ultimately leading the web development team. Building the business from an idea to an industry-leading firm with over $100 million in annual revenue, he helped grow and position the company for a highly successful sale in 2006 for over $80 million.
From there Jeffrey combined his greatest strengths and passions, joining Imaj as COO while serving as in-house photographer and web developer. With his depth of experience, Jeff not only brings operations, analysis and business development expertise, he balances that with rare creativity, and cutting edge information technology knowledge. The result has afforded a long-standing creative firm a better understanding of the needs of our clients and a fresh perspective toward bringing ideas to market successfully.

Katie Schibler senior client manager, associate
Katie began her career with Im-aj Communications & Design in 1997 working on the Lifespan project team and continues applying her relentless attention to detail and exceptional level of understanding in her role as a Senior Client Services Manager for Imaj Associates. In addition to working for Imaj, she has also worked for TracyLocke, DDB, Source Marketing and Sony Computer Entertainment America. She has led integrated marketing campaigns across a spectrum of clients from Pepsi and Clorox to TetraTech & Safewater RI, the Boston Psychoanalytic Society & Institute (BPSI) and Integrated Assessment Services.
Katie’s extensive experience in all facets of marketing and with non profits as well as large clients brings to bear authentic understanding and insight into the complexities surrounding effectively changing attitudes. A graduate of Fairfield University, she has served on its Alumni Board and volunteers as a career advisor to undergraduate students.

Jen has worked with Imaj for over a decade. Experienced, client-focused and dedicated to addressing the unique needs of organizations – Jen possesses significant experience in competency-based training, organization development consulting, group facilitation, and talent and performance management. Specializing in influencing individual performance and organizational direction, Jen has a strong track record in the successful design and delivery of high quality management and organization development programs that are aligned with and drive key business initiatives. Jen’s work brings to Imaj a solid portfolio of experience that illustrates the successful application of quality organizational principles and practices in support of business growth and community development.

As the Agency of Record For Shields MRI and CT, Imaj also branded PET, an offshoot of the Shields brand. Imaj created and applied the brand to every possible surface and media, from ads and presentations to newsletters, brochures, physician referral packets and trucks.
As the Agency of Record For this software quality firm, Imaj branded the company, handled public relations and events promotions and created and applied the brand to ads, trade show booths, presentations, a website, DVD and CDs, direct mail and brochures.
