embrace the teachings of Christ, giving witness to Gospel values.

End of the School Year Prayer

O God of all beginnings and endings, We praise and thank you for the gift of this school year.

It has been a time filled with grace and blessings, With challenges and opportunities, joys and sorrows.

The days have passed quickly, O Lord. The weeks, the months, the seasons, the holidays and holy days,

The exams, vacations, breaks, and assemblies, All have come forth from your hand.

Give us the rest and refreshment we need this summer. Let our efforts of this past year bear fruit.

Bring all of our plans to a joyful conclusion, And bless us, according to your will,

With the fulfillment of our summer hopes and dreams. Watch over us in the weeks of rest ahead,

And guide each day as you have done this past year. Help us return to school with a new spirit and a new energy.

May we continue to grow In age, wisdom, knowledge and grace

All the days of our lives.

Amen.

REPORT CARDS

Term 3 report cards for students in JK—Gr. 8 will be sent home on Tuesday, June 26th. After reviewing the report card with your child please take some time to comment on your child’s pro-gress on the third page of the report card. This page should be returned to school where it be-comes part of the child’s Ontario School Record. Please try to return the third page, if possible, the next school day or you can mail it to school, or return it in September.

GOT WHEELS? GET A HELMET! Activities with wheels are fun and are good ways to get exercise. But it’s important to stay safe so you can keep active. A helmet can save your life!

Get the right kind of helmet •Choose a bicycle helmet for bike riding, in-line skating, and scooter riding. Skateboard riders need a skateboarding helmet which covers the back of the head. •Make sure the helmet has a sticker that says it meets safety standards such as CSA, CPSC, Snell or ASTM. Try the helmet before you buy it. •Replace a helmet when it is past 5 years old. The plastics dry out and the helmet becomes unsafe to use.

In Ontario, it is the LAW that every cyclist under the age of 18 must

wear an approved bicycle helmet.

Notice: The Library will be closed on June 15th for the year. Please have all library books returned to Mrs. Batte. Thank you! We would like to acknowl-edge Katie Myatt for win-ning a gold medal at the Bluewater Regional Science Fair and for win-ning the John Lennon Physical Science award. CONGRATULATIONS KATIE!
