This year, DBCHS will be partnering with the Confirmation students from IC Church, participating in the NEIA Food Bank’s Student Food Drive. We will compete against other schools our size, to see who can donate the most food items. Schools that finish in the Top 3 for most pounds-per-students donated will receive a cash prize. IC/SJ School will be helping us out, with their donations adding to our total. When: The drive runs from Oct. 3rd until Nov. 14th. Where: As items are brought in, they will be taken to the Campus Ministry Center. Mr. Rauzi’s Theology classes will work on putting items in boxes as a service project. Who: ALL students should plan to bring in items for the food drive. What: Any non-perishable food item may be donated.

Girl Scout Troop #1982 3rd & 4th Grade Girls

Hello Bosco Families! Last year, all girls who were in Troop#1982 were brownies in 2nd and 3rd grade. This year, we have been given the opportunity by the Girl Scouts to choose to either stay as brownies or graduate to Juniors since the 4th grade girls have technically aged out of brownies. I will make this determination before the meeting. If you have any preferences, please let me know. All returning and girls new to Troop #1982 this year are welcomed. At the first meeting the girls will pick and choose which badges and activities to do during the school year learning valuable leadership skills while having fun with their friends and making new ones. Important Stuff: The meetings will be scheduled on Wednesdays of every month this year beginning in October. The girls will take January off due to the holidays. Please note the meeting place has changed to St. Joseph’s Cafeteria this year in Raymond. The meeting time has also been moved up to 5 p.m. If your daughter attends ABC I can arrange checking her out at 5 p.m. and you can pick her up at 6 p.m. in the Cafeteria after the GS meeting. Please let me if you need this help. Below is a link to register your daughter. Please register her ahead of the meeting so I can get an accurate count of the troop size. Note troop #1982 http://www.girlscoutstoday.org . If you have already registered your daughter for the 2016/2017 school year you needn’t do anything. However, if you registered last year for Troop #1982, you will also need to re-register for this year as your daughter’s current membership will expire on September 30th If you have any questions or have a problem registering, please let me know: Lisa Skubal – 239-9642 [email protected]
