Tata Power, India's largest integrated power company announced that the Company’s generation, for the first
time, has crossed 52,000 Million Units (MU), collectively from all its power plants in FY17. The company also
reported capacity increase by 16% per cent in FY17 as compared to FY16. The Company, together with all its
subsidiaries and jointly controlled entities, has an installed generation capacity of 10,613 MW (as of May 2017)
as compared to 9,180 MW in FY16 from various fuel sources such as thermal (coal, gas and oil), hydroelectric
power, renewable energy (wind and solar PV) and waste heat recovery.
Commenting on this development, Mr. Ashok Sethi, COO & ED, Tata Power, stated, “Tata Power has and will
continue to serve the nation earnestly and will continue to be part of India’s growth story. We are confident
that in the next few years we will have greater contribution towards the Government and consumers’ vision
of a power sufficient nation. Towards this end, we are constantly growing, evolving, and evaluating suitable
options to spread our footprint in different geographies in a sustainable way. The Company aims to pursue a
well charted growth strategy by demonstrating a high level of commitment towards cleaner sources of
generation thus increasing the share of non-fossil fuel based generation output to 35- 40% by 2025.”

year earlier. A one-time impact related to regulatory obligations over Tata Docomo contributed to the reverse
turnaround performance of the company in the fourth quarter.
Before Docomo impact, Tata Power's profit after tax stood at Rs 389 crore, substantially higher than its net profit in
the year-ago quarter.
For the quarter ended March 2017, Tata Power recorded a total income of Rs 7392.95 crore, slightly down from Rs
7434.1 crore it had reported for the corresponding quarter in the previous year. The company incurred total expenses
of Rs 7287.22 crore in the January - March 2017 quarter, slightly uup from Rs 7226.1 crore a year back.
For the full year 2016-2017, the company reported a net profit of Rs 948.56 crore against Rs 786.39 crore in the
previous financial year.
Meanwhile, Tata Power has announced that the company's power generation has crossed 52,000 Million Units, for th
first time, collectively from all its power plants. Capacity has increased 16% in 2016-17, as compared to previous year,
the company said.

The company also reported capacity increase by 16 per cent in the financial year 2016-17 as compared to 2015-16
fiscal, Tata Power said in a statement.
