BUSINESS CHALLENGE Participant's Profile Building trust and cohesiveness among the Sales and Markeng teams to ensure they work together in synergy and complement each other for the business. Creang a common vision among the Sales and Markeng teams in the organisaon Need to create a unified team, innovate and stay open to change There was also a need to make the two teams feel equally valued and honoured in the system It was crical for the two teams to understand the dynamics of the team and come together as a single IMPLEMENTATION OF THE INTERVENTION Industry FMCG solution category A two - day gathering of the members of the two teams was held using a very parcipatory and open methodology. Providing them with an opportunity to reflect and co- create a shared vision for the enre team. Building trust, and collaborave communicaon, as a foundaon for a synergized and unified team was explored Atudes for opmism and posivity for the team environment were shared with them Using their MBTI® profiles to leverage diversity was explored A Talent night was conducted on Day 1 evening. This ensured the parcipants further opened up with each other and also became aware of each other's talents. The morning exercises and yoga on Day 2 helped reinforce the importance of a fit body leading to a healthy mind Having laid the ground for mutual trust and respect, ample me was spent on sharing mutual feedback and expectaons with each other Must win bales were idenfied for the coming year Using the Conversaon Café methodology, the parcipants discussed various crical topics and came up with Acon Plans to achieve the same.Detailed acon plans and three project teams were formed to deal with the above menoned topics The first review was conducted with the Head of Markeng and Sales to review the progress made aer the BFG The second review was conducted with the Leaders of the project teams to see where they were on each of the projects. The third review was conducted with the President of Markeng and Sales. This was done to get his perspecve on the improvement in team work aer the BFG. Three Post Programme reviews were conducted: Step 1 Step 3 Post Programme Review: Step 4 impact Off-Site programme - Bonding for Greatness Pre - Intervention Study: The pre programme study was conducted using an E quesonnaire. There were also one on one conversaon with select members of the Sales and Markeng Team Key Result Areas / Goals of the two teams were also studied Based on the findings from the above, the BFG™ intervenon was designed The Pre Programme study revealed that the crical bolenecks idenfied were: Lack of open, honest communicaon within the team. Oen the tendency to take sides Holding on to egos and not sharing informaon as it was looked upon as loss the upper hand Personality clashes amongst the senior leaders Differenal treatment by top leaders where it was proved that markeng received the upper hand and sales didn't receive its due Give feedback to the parcipants about themselves and how they are different from others Help parcipants understanding how to deal with conflicts effecvely Step 2 Administering the ® MBTI assessment tool: The purpose of the MBTI® instrument was to: The two teams bonded and came closer together They were more open with each other There was no hesitaon to speak regarding anything they needed from each other The communicaon was seamless and the frequency increased A number of decisions about recognion and rewards were shared with the Head Office Recognion awards framework & incenve calendar Share globally acclaimed case studies to enable cross category learning Common plaorm for the Sales and Markeng team to communicate and share with each other The projects were:
