No meetings during the months of June, July, August, and December.

Non-scheduled meetings will be posted no less than 48 hours prior to meeting.

Annual Meeting Annual meeting will be held on 4th Tuesday of February.

I would like to thank Tom, Bob and Donna for their commitment, dedication and many hours of time, effort and hard work during their term as Board of Directors for Gull Aire Village. Charley and I really appreciate the opportunity to have served with each of you.

I would also like to thank each and every candidate for their interest and effort in the Board of Directors election and of course I would like to congratulate the new board members Elizabeth Moskowitz, John Monser and the re-elected Donna Walston.

We have a huge challenge ahead of us for 2020 and will work together to maintain and improve the quality of life that we are accustomed to in Gull Aire Village. We understand that we cannot do this alone, therefore, we will be asking for input from residents by using committees and sub-committees to assist us in making decisions that will affect our lifestyle now and in the future.

Message from the Social Club

I would like to take this time to welcome your new Social Club board. Elected in March was; Dale Mathurin, President, Pam Hunt, Vice President, Sonia Kuperis, Secretary and Diana Lutch, Treasurer. I know they will be working very hard to provide you with great events and fun filled parties. I look forward to working with them.

I would like recognize our outgoing Vice President Barbara Drawbaugh. Barbara has worked tirelessly behind the scenes for many years. For the last three years she has been your Vice President. A roll she has performed over and above what was requested. It was my honor to serve with her. Also, our outgoing Secretary, Eva Joline has been with us for the last two years. Eva has performed many duties behind the scenes along with her duties as Secretary. Eva is also to be commended for all she has done. It was my honor to serve with these two fine people. Don’t fret, they will still be working for you so you can enjoy our many activities.

Speaking of activities, April has a lot for you to enjoy. Our annual Aloha party will be held on April 4th. Entertainment will be provided by the Rukkus Band. At our Koffee Klatch on the 4th we will have a contest – who can guess how many jellybeans in the jar. The winner will win a free ticket to our hilariously themed “Tacky Tourist Dance” to be held on April 18th. At this dance you will dress in your finest wacky tourist garb. Let’s all have fun with this theme.

Hot Dogs will be served at our Bingo on the 1st, 15th and 29th games. Bunco is the 13th and 27th. Game night will be on the 25th this month. Don’t forget Karaoke on the 3rd and 17th. There is also chair volleyball on Sundays and all your exercises throughout the week.

At our March 7 Koffee Klatch, Capt. Dave Young from the Oldsmar Fire Department gave a presentation on Hurricane Preparedness. There was a lot of useful and interesting information. He will join us again at our July 18th Koffee Klatch with some additional information.

Your Social Club has many other activities planned for your enjoyment throughout the year. Please join us in all the fun.

ATTENTION…. all Gull Aire Veterans

Keep your calendar open for an event, Tuesday night April 14th 6:30pm. at the club house.

We are organizing a Veterans group to

reminisce about your time in the service, maybe organize other activities such as going to a ball game, maybe a speaker that would be helpful to you and a cookout. Maybe you have some helpful information that would help your fellow Veterans? We plan to start a veteran's wall, so start looking for a picture of you while in the service. This will be an informal group. Come with your ideas for how to make this a group that you will want to attend and have fun. Remember to bring your spouse, or any other family member, so they can join in the fun.

Please spread the word and remind anyone you know here in Gull Aire Village about this meeting. We all seem to say " I forgot" a little too often lately.

This is your group and we want it to be about you, the Veteran.
