Newsletter #7 | 9 May 2019 The cast, crew and band of this year’s Major Production – Dance Rules – presented a sneak preview of the production to 370 Grade 6 learners from our local primary schools earlier this week. Dance Rules is based on Strictly Ballroom – a romantic comedy film which was released in 1992. The story focuses on a top ballroom dancer who pairs with a plain, left-footed local girl when his unusual dance style earns him the scorn of the more conventional dancers. Together, the team gives it their all to make their dream of taking the National Championship title a reality. This show is not to be missed. Break a leg! Grade 9 Group Psychometric Tests

A reminder that the Grade 9 Group Psychometric Test will take place on Friday, 17 May. Bookings must be made via Mrs Lana Coetzee ([email protected]). The cost is R450 per child. Participation is voluntary. This assessment is specially designed to assist with subject choice for Grade 10.

Eisteddfod Cultural Festival

Learners are encouraged to enter the National

Eisteddfod Academy’s annual Eisteddfod

Festival to be held between August and

October this year. There is a wide choice of

performing arts categories including music,

dance, speech and drama. It is an excellent

opportunity for learners to showcase their talent

and grow their self-confidence. Participation

also forms part of the Colours system for

Performing Arts, Public Speaking and

Debating.
