Career Services, LBJ Student Center Suite 5-7.1 Members of the Texas State student chapter of the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM at Texas State) aended the 75th annual HRSouthwest Conference at the Fort Worth Convenon Center October 16-19, 2016. HRSouthwest is the largest regional conference for HR professionals in the U.S. with well over 2,000 in aendance. SHRM students received sponsorships to the conference, and were able to aend professional development and networking sessions. Please email Amanda Torres, SHRM Chapter President at [email protected] if you would like more details. Our academic advisors are Dr. Kay Nicols and Dr. Floyd Quinn. Connect with us on Facebook for important updates at “SHRM at TxState”! Spring 2017 Registration Notes RRC/AVRY indicates Round Rock Campus. If you are not willing to travel, do not register for that section. Accidental registration into RRC/AVRY class DOES NOT guarantee a San Marcos class. MGT 3353 and MGT 3453 labs are assigned to specific lectures. If you need to register for a closed management course please complete a closed class request form found on our website under Student Info, or visit the Departmental Office (McCoy 524). The Department of Management will not handle closed class requests over the phone. you must have your coursework completed and posted to your Texas State transcript by January 11, 2017. In order for this to happen, you will need to send your official transcript to the Office of Undergraduate Admissions. The Advising Center will not preserve prerequisite overrides aſter January 11, 2017. At this me, the Registrar’s Office will run a report to idenfy students who are registered without the required prerequisites and those students will be dropped. Neither the Advising Center or Management Department will accept proof of grade for prerequisite courses outside of Texas State. If any quesons, please contact the Advising Center at 512.245.1993 or stop by 115 McCoy Hall to speak with the Advisor On-Call.
