Phase 1 – Rollout June 2013

SmartLinc is supporting three X3 workflows for shipping in Phase 1 (Gold and Platinum).

1. Sales Order

Ship and add freight and tracking numbers in X3 at the Sales Order level.

2. Direct to Invoice

Ship and add freight and tracking numbers in X3 at the Invoice level.

3. Shipments

Support X3 declarative packaging. Ship and add freight and tracking numbers in

X3 at the Package level.


Phase 2 – 4th Quarter 2013

SmartLinc will add support for X3 workflow called One-Step Pack and Ship (Diamond).

• 3X productivity improvement for packing and shipping with high volume customers

• Warehouse staff will not need to use X3

• Supports X3 Declarative Packing Option (cartonization)

• Will add a 2nd level of packing details for “Items in cartons on pallet” for big-box EDI

• All packing and inventory relieve will be handled by SmartLinc

• SmartLinc will create the Packing List.

• Serial number tracking

• Lot tracking


Phase 3 – TBD

SmartLinc will add support for “Rate Shopping” aka “Best Way” processing inside X3.

Shipping Modes


Delivery modes is linked to Ship-via in SmartLinc and the data needs to be synchronized manually in both the systems.

The Delivery mode function allows user to define Carrier Type for the Ship Method such as UPS, FedEx, etc.

When creating Customers, Orders, Shipments and Invoices this information is brought over in the SmartLinc options screens.

Pre-Requisites


SmartLinc set up on the system.

IIS 6 and higher should be installed on the system.

Users and Customers set up in X3 and SmartLinc.

SQL Server 2005 and above should be installed on the system. .Net Frame Work 4.0 should be installed on the system.

For this Sage X3 Shipping installation patch, Sage X3

should be on version 6.5 with patch(P23)
