Description of installed biogas plant for the Year 2012-13 by UREDABIO ENERGY PROGRAM
Family Size Biogas Plant
MNRE Govt. of India is providing financial assistance to the biogas
user families of the villages who have domestic animals for the raw
material to smooth running of biogas plants ranging upto (1-4 Cum.)
Under the scheme of Biogas Management Program of Ministry of New and
Renewable Energy, Government of India.
After installation of these biogas plant we not only save the coal, wood,
kerosene oil, LPG but it is most important that we are reducing the
emission of Co2 which not only pollute the environment but also leading
to global warming and adversely affect the health of the people involved in
the process of cooking of meal.
Central Financial Assistance
The CFA is available from MNRE Govt. of India as detailed
under :
Maximum CFA Rs. 4000/- for 01 cum plant or 50% of total cost
of Plant which ever is less.
Maximum CFA Rs. 10000/- per plant for 2-4 cum capacity or
50% of total cost of Plant which ever is less.
1500/- per plant is admissible to trunkey agent for supervision &
monitoring of plant.

Biogas base power generation at Chharba
Biogas Based Power Generation
Under this program UREDA has commissioned three biogas based
power generation plant of capacity 85 cum, 35 cum, and 25 cum, with the
total power generation capacity of 10kw, 4kw, and 3kw per day.
These plant has been installed with the financial support of MNRE
Govt. of India and Pashu Kalyan Board, Govt. of Uttarakhand.

Non Baggase Base Co-generation Plant In BAHL Paper Mill Kashipur, US Nagar
M/s. BHAL paper mill Kashipur,US Nagar has been installed 4.00 MW
capacity non baggase based co-generation plant in Kashipur during the
year 2012-13 under the Non Baggase Based Co-generation Program of
MNRE Govt. of India
The total cost of the installed plant is Rs. 2007.032 lacs. MNRE Govt.
of India provided aid of Rs. 80.00 Lacs. as a CFA to the beneficiary firm.

Fair, Mela & Exhibitions
Uttarakhand Renewable Energy Development Agency (UREDA)has
been appointed as the implementing agency in the state of Uttarakhand
for creating awareness of renewable energy and its use among the
common people.
In the state of Uttarakhand UREDA has been organized various
exhibition at the various level for creating awareness regarding
renewable energy.
Gasifier System of Rishi Chemical Works Haridwar
MNRE Govt. of India is providing subsidy on installation of Biomass
Gassifier System. The producer gas is being used for operation of
processing units. We can save large quantity of wood by using gassifier.

Rajeev Gandhi Akashya Urja Divas 2012
Uttarakhand Renewable Energy Development Agency (UREDA) organized various competitions among the students of the various schools on the occasion of Rajeev Gandhi Akashya Urja Divas with the financial support of MNRE. This year “ONGC” and the “Times Group” have also participated and provided there support to organize the
stprograms. Details of Various programs were organize on 18 and 21 Aug 2012 on the occasion as mentioned below.
To aware and educate the future generation about the renewable energy technology and its application/equipment were organize in senior and junior group separately in Doon Valley Public School, Dehradun. among the students of various school. The details of the competitions and there subject are as under.
Debate Competition:- The subject for this competition was “ Renewable Energy or Conventional Energy for meeting the requirement of energy”.
Essay Competition:- The subject of this competition was employment opportunities in Renewable Eenergy sector.
Painting Competition:- The subject of this competition was :-a. Commercial use of solar water heater.b. Energy conservation.c. Waste to energy.

1. Debate Competition:- The subject of this competition was construction of large hydro project in preview of Uttarakhand state.
2. Essay Competition:- The subject of this competition was use of renewable energy in cities in preview of environment.
3. Painting Competition:- The subject of this competition was view of power generation from wind energy.
Total 363 students from 34 schools participated in the above competitions.
Prize distribution function for the above competition organized on 21 August, 2012 at KDMIPE, mini auditorium, ONGC, Dehradun. The H'ble minister of Renewable Energy Uttarakhand Smt. Amrita Rawat, participated in the program as chief guest and distributed the prizes to the winners of the various competitions. Exhibition of renewable energy was also organized at the venue function.A part from the above cartoon and film show on the use of renewable energy and energy conservation was also displayed in the program.Mr. B, Ram Executive Director, Mr. R K Bahuguna, Chief Engineer Electrical, Mr. D K Sharm, GM Mechanical, S K Verme Chief Engineer Electrical, Mr, SK Gupta SE Electrical, Mr. G.S Negi SE Electrical from ONGC and Mr. A.K.
