navigation inside malls.

The report covers the route that was adopted to reach the final concept of and design of

the App. An extensive survey was conducted. The survey covered a wide range to

consumers from different fields, different backgrounds and all age groups. The result

showed that more than 75% of people were looking for an app that helps them to navigate

to the location inside malls.

DEMOGRAPHIC RESEARCH

New Okhla Industrial Development Authority or most commonly known as Noida, came

into existence on the 17th of April 1976. It is a part of the National Capital Region of India

while also holds the tag of an IT capital of NCR. It was setup as an urbanisation thrust

during the controversial emergency period (1975-77). The city was created under the UP

Industrial Area Development Act by the initiative of Sanjay Gandhi. With a population of

642,381 (as per Census of India 2011), excellent, tree lined roads; Noida is considered the

most green city in the country with almost 50% green cover. Moreover, Noida supposedly

has the highest per capita income in the whole NCR.

As per the Census of India (2011), Noida has a literacy rate of 85.58%, with 92.90% in

male while 83.28% in females. There are people of diverse religions living in Noida but

most of them practice Hinduism. Many famous Hindu temples are located in the city, some

of the more famous ones are the Sai Baba Temple in Sector 61, the Hanuman temple in

Sector 22 and the ISKCON temple in Sector 33. A Shia Jama Masjid in Sector 50 and St.

Gregorios Indian ORTHODOX Church in Sector 51, Mar Thoma Church in Sector 50 and

St. Mary's Catholic Church in Sector 34 are also well known.

When it comes to Infrastructure, Noida stands 17th place in the list of clean cities in India.

The creation of physical infrastructure is higher in Noida. Noida is also famous for tall

buildings and shopping malls and comes 2nd in India after Mumbai. In 2014, a budget of

Rs.20, 000 crore altogether was approved for the development of the region. Leaders,

bureaucrats, engineers and other officials lobbied hard to manage a job in Noida —

considered a gold mine in the state’s power circles, "Noida is way above many other cities

in budget allocation. This is the reason all leaders want to get involved in Noida." Leaders

and officials treat Noida as a gold mine because out of the state’s seven industrial

authorities, it — with a Rs.10, 000-crore annual budget — is the richest in Uttar Pradesh.

There is always a huge amount of revenue surplus each year as they are unable to spend

the entire amount on development or on maintaining civic amenities. Lease rent and

interest from builders are the biggest contributors to Noida’s revenue. Besides, the

authority gets huge revenues out of water and property transfer charges. "The Noida

authority had deposited Rs 3,500 crore as fixed deposits in various banks because of

surplus funds. Noida has so much surplus funds with it that it can run the city even if it do

not take any taxes from its allottees for next 5 years in a row. Thus, Noida is termed as the

“Gold Mine of Uttar Pradesh.”

When it comes to education, Noida is the location of Uttar Pradesh technical University

and various other colleges affiliated to it. It is also home to many prestigious centres of

higher learning, including Amity University, Jaypee Institute of Information Technology,

and even has extension campuses of IIM Lucknow and BITS Mesra. Noida also has a film

school in Asia Academy of Film & television giving out some of the most talented actors of

the country like Nimrat Kaur, Sonal Chauhan, and Kriti Sanon.

Furthermore, Noida is a major hub for multinational firms outsourcing IT services e.g.

Sapient, Fiserv, Headstrong, EXL Service, First Flight Courier LTD, StudentsLeads,

Padma Infocom Pvt. Ltd. IBM, Miracle, AON Hewitt, Fujitsu, CSC, TCS, Ajastra Media,

WIPRO, Padma Infocom, HCL, Tech Mahindra, Adobe Systems, KPIT Technologies,

Ericsson, Paytm, Dell, Kronos Incorporated, Sparta Consulting, IGATE Global Solutions

Limited, Genpact, Mercer, Corbus, Accenture, Samsung etc. Many large software and

business process outsourcing companies have their offices in the city.

Energy and Power Utility companies such as Reliance Infrastructure, NTPC Limited, Tata

Power, Gas Authority of India Limited, Indian Oil Corporation, Bharat Heavy Electricals

Limited, Oil India Limited, and Samsung Engineering, BGR Energy Systems Ltd have their

corporate offices in Noida. Many other companies have their Indian branch offices in

Noida, because of many factors, including its Special Economic Zone status, its suburban

atmosphere and its proximity to Delhi. Noida also hosts the head office of the Software

Technology Park, which was established by the Government of India to promote the

software industry. In the Special Economic Zone (SEZ) Sector 135 along the expressway

TCS, Accenture, Genpact and Steria have started their offices. Noida is a major hub of

industry. Noida has quickly emerged as a hub for automobile ancillary units, with

companies like Escorts, Honda-SIEL, Moriroku Technology India Pvt Ltd and New Holland

Tractors (JV of FIAT with Ford). A Daewoo plant was also located in the city, but has since

closed. Various MNCs and major manufacturers like Alstom, ISGEC, LG, Samsung,

Barclays Bank, Ericsson and music company T-Series also have their corporate offices in

the city. Development in industry, commerce and trade have led Noida to be a model city

in UP. It is a major revenue earner for the government through taxes. The Noida model is

now being replicated across various cities in UP, with a proactive development agency

working to achieve high growth rates for business, industry and commercial ventures.

With almost 8 shopping arcades including DLF mall of India which is known as the biggest

mall in the country, The Great India Place mall etc. Noida is wealthy when it comes to

shopping centres and hotspots for leisure activities. Also, Noida is home to 12 hotels and

has North India’s largest superplex all of which are appreciated by the residents and

visitors of the city.

Noida is also rich when it comes to health centres as the city has many private health

cares like Jaypee and Fortis with 1200-bedded tertiary care multi-specialities

OBJECTIVE

The main objective of the App is to save time of people who are visiting malls.Besides that

other added advantages of the app will be :

Convenience

Better shopping experience

Multiple choice for example, is the consumer wants a particular product he/she will

have choice of places weather the product could be available

Speed.

NEED OF AN APP

As the communication technology is booming every day and every part of our life is

touched by it. The need of sharing information at a faster speed is what consumers need

now.

It is clearly shown in the demographic structure of Noida that IT companies, BPOs,

Educational institutes , Film city, multinational companies etc are operating from NOIDA

UNDERSTANDING NEED OF PEOPLE

It was kept in mind that the it is not only a particular age group has shown interest in the

App. And since the Information and Communication Technology is penetrating in all

directions so the consumers from all sections should feel attached to it.

The life style of new age consumers is fast. As the commuting is time consuming now and

that has made the availability of time limited with consumers and now consumers want to

utilize it maximum without wasting time.

The target consumers are 18 - 35 age group for whom time is money. So this app is best

suited to them that can save their time to find the target stores

THE IDEA

In today' world, Google has enabled users to reach the destination utilizing the best

possible routes saving precious time and energy in addition to financial savings. It enables

users to reach their destination with great precision. But once we or users reach their

destination, the road trip ends and another journey starts. The journey inside. For example

we can reach a shopping mall, hospital, buildings etc. using Google maps but our actual

destination is inside. With size of projects developed today, figuring out locations within

buildings, malls etc is equally time and energy consuming. This is the problem that needs

to be addressed and we can up with a bright idea...Navigate Inside.

The solution

Full Circle is a mobile application which enables its users to not only reach their

destination by guiding the road trip, it helps them navigate inside the buildings. Whether

you wish to visit your favorite fashion brand on first floor or want to experience newly

inaugurated fine dining restaurant on third floor. You will never have to ask anyone for

directions or waste your time figuring out whereabouts on the floor layout maps provided

by the mall management. Simply search your last point destination on our mobile app and

follow the path most suitable for you depending on your location inside the mall.

STAGE OF APP DEVELOPMENT

The next stage was to find the name of App that co-relate with the tech savvy generation

and city. Many respondents of the survey also suggested name for App and extensive

round of discussions were carried out. Few names are:

Ohk

BuzzApp - An atmosphere of excitement and activity, something that our app intends to

create.

Nappme - Nap stands for natural direction (on surface of a fabric).

Mapp - Mapping App

Mapper - Someone who maps / marks

Mappster - Someone who is engaged in work/task of mapping

DONDE - Means "Where" in Spanish. Via app user would know about whereabouts of

entities involved/mapped

Fullcircle

DropMe

Walkthru

Rightway

Finally 2 names were shortlisted :

Ohk !

This is modern way of youngsters saying ok It is mix of surprise and consent/ approval

Fullcircle

Full Circle depicts completion of a cycle. Till now one could only reach the infrastructure

which houses your actual destination. With our app in place, we will fill the void that was

left between your start up point and your actual last point of travel and this is what Full

Circle all about.

Now the next step was to design the Logo. In discussions It was finalized that the logo

should be appealing, modern, catchy and reflecting the modern technology. It was also

decided that the logo should also reflect the character of the city and also emotional

attachment with city that we want to project. During the designing stage at least 10 logos

were designed each with different font and color scheme.

MARKETING AND PROMOTION

We plan to promote the app using the best of digital marketing technologies available

today. Today, there is no dearth of social platforms which have immense potential to make

the news viral and they have reach across the globe. Conventional ways of publicizing like,

newspapers, radio jingles or TVCs are too expensive and are not viable for startups.

Moreover they are push mechanism methods. Our strategy will be pull marketing - which is

especially popular and effective within Internet marketing, because pull marketing benefits

greatly from independent social behavior like word-of-mouth and the “viral” content effect.

The costs of running such campaigns is fractional in comparison to push marketing and

results are much much better.

REVENUE GENERATION

No project can sustain for a long time if it does not have an appropriate revenue model to

back the concept. Advertising will play an important role in helping us generate revenues.

We are coming up with a platform that users will use on regular basis and being visible on

such platform will definitely be any seller's or service provider's dream.

More over we have designed incentive programs exclusively for our users which will

further reinforce the usage of our mobile app and bring more footfalls for our listed

companies too. So our app will not only be a navigation app, its will also have a strong e-

commerce integrated withing same framework.

OPERATION

All the properties are geo tagged and database is updated on real time basis using the

mobile application developed by us, with a precision as close as 5 m. Mobile app also

enables users to upload the outside and inside view of their properties. This helps the user

gain better understanding of the surroundings of their destination. Once you are inside a

building, you simply browse and click on your destination link. Our app creates a dynamic

path direction to your destination, showing which way you have to move. With this app on

your phone, you will never have to ask anyone for directions inside the malls, hospitals,

buildings etc.
