2,824 rapid HIV tests 75 preliminary positive results (2.6%) 0 linked to care

CEG 2011 Results Model: Normalize Attitudes and De-Stigmatize
HIV Screening CEG uses peer/paraprofessionals to provide
linkage to care services CEG reports it may take up to 10 attempts
before someone agrees to engage in medical care
These clients had CD4 counts ranging from 22 – 1,081 with a mean CD4 count of 508
Paper published in AIDS by DC DOH and GWU indicates cohort studied and followed between 2004 – 2008 experienced 57.4% viral suppression
