In sum! Staygreen QTL introgression led to significant improvement in
GLAR, GY, STY, WE and TE in both the genetic backgroundsparticularly under WS conditions
Yield components improved more in CRS 4 (Gy-54%, STY-63)than RSLG 262 background (Gy-35%, STY-47) under WS.
Enhancement in GLAR and yield components seems to be due toimprovement in WE and TE.
Improvement in WE was more in RSLG 262 than CRS 4 and viceversa for TE
Lines like C3 & C7 in CRS 4 & R3 in RSLG 262 backgrounds arepromising and need to be evaluated on more locations
