In 2014 the IMZ will continue to walk the new paths it has already started last yearWith the Avant Premiegravere 2014 MUSIC + MEDIA MARKET from 8 ndash 12 Feb-ruary in Berlin a new set-up for THE professional screenings of music and dance-programmes and business-platform of the industry will be launched offering an additional supporting programme consisting of high-class pan-els lectures special film screenings and much moreWe are overwhelmed by the most positive feedback we have been receiving to moving our Avant Premiegravere 2014 MUSIC + MEDIA MARKET to BerlinBy today we expect more than 200 participants ranging from broadcasting

In December 2013 the Teatro alla Scala in Milan confirmed that Ric-cardo Chailly will become Principal Guest Conductor on 1 January 2015 and will go on to become musical director of the world-famous opera house in 2017 Chailly has been chief conductor of the Gewandhaus Or-chestra in Leipzig since 2005 and in summer 2013 he extended his collab-oration until June 2020 Since its foundation ACCENTUS Music has been producing a large number of concert recordings and documentaries with Riccardo Chailly for TV and DVD and last year pro-duced the first ever film portrait of the outstanding Italian conductor Music ndash a journey for life The con-ductor Riccardo Chailly The film by Paul Smaczny was coproduced by MDR in co-operation with ARTE and was supported by Mitteldeutsche Medienfoumlrderung It will air on ARTE on 23 March 2014 On 4 March ARTE and the Leipzig Gewandhaus will present a preview screening in the Gewandhaus in presence of Ric-cardo Chailly
