Food safety & standards act-2006 of Parliament received the assent of President on 23rd August, 2006 and gazette
notification done by the Health & family welfare dept, Govt of India on 4th August 2011. In Indian railway this act
implemented in the year 2012. It is the act which replaces the old PFA Act 1954.
