Organizer’s Message
Within the framework of its social responsibility, Kinanis Law Firm organised its
2nd Photography Competition 2020 with the aim to promote and stimulate interest
and creativity in photography among professional and amateur photographers.
The honored non-profitable, charitable institution chosen this year to which the
net proceeds, along with the donations, the income from the sales of the
commemorative book and the exhibited photographs, will be donated, is,
«Παγκύπριος Σύνδεσμος Σπάνιων Γενετικών Παθήσεων Μοναδικά Χαμόγελα»,

The theme of the competition was the notion of, “In & Out”. The competition is
gaining international character and photographers from around the world, not
only Cyprus, participated. We had thirty-three photographers and in total one
hundred thirty-two photographs where submitted.
We would like to express our thanks to all the participants who took part in this
innovative event and whose participation made it feasible. We would also like to
express our gratitude to the committee of judges, to our sponsors and to the
employees of our firm who, with all their efforts, took part and contributed to the
success of this event.
We are looking forward to the future competitions to be organised hoping they
will be recognised and established among the successful social events of our country.

Judging Committee’s Message
We would like to congratulate all professional and amateur photographers who
participated in the 2nd Photography Competition 2020 of Kinanis Law Firm.
Winners or not the competition once again surpassed our expectations.
It was truly our honour to be chosen to be part of this competition and to actively
aim in promoting photography and also supporting a non-profitable charitable
institution simultaneously.
Taking into consideration the theme and terms of the competition we selected in a
strict and confidential manner the winners, the honourable mentions and of course
the short list of photos that will also be exhibited. All decisions were taken
unanimously.
When the identity of the participants was revealed following the selection of the
winners, we were delighted to discover that the competition was embraced by
individuals of various ages and nationalities.
We express our thanks and gratitude to all participants for their efforts and hard
work to once again make this competition unique and alive. This competition
explores many means of creativity and collective thought within the theme,
In & Out. Once again, we await with anticipation what the future competitions
will bring and how they will continue to promote the spectacular medium of
photography while being part of giving back to philanthropic organizations that
are in need.
We look forward to meeting you all at the opening ceremony on the 27th of
November 2020.

THE AIM
To promote and stimulate interest and creativity in photography among
professional and amateur photographers.
WHO COULD PARTICIPATE
Professional and amateur photographers, irrespectively of age, nationality or
residency.
HOW
By submitting up to 5 (five) color or black and white photographs which must
correspond to the theme of the Competition.
THE COMMITTEE OF JUDGES
Christalla Kyriacou, BAA, MVA, Freelance Photographer, Lecturer,
Giorgos Hadjipieris, Composer, Music Producer, Amateur Photographer,
Christos Kinanis, Advocate, Amateur Photographer.
PRIZES
First Prize €750, Second Prize €500, Third Prize €250 and Honorable Mentions.
OPENING - AWARD CEREMONY - EXHIBITION
The opening and award ceremony will be held by the Honorable Rector of the
Open University of Cyprus, Professor Petros Pashiardis on Friday the 27th of
November 2020 at 7:30pm at AKAMANTIS Business Center, 10 Egypt Street,
1097, Nicosia, Cyprus.
THE PHILANTHROPIC ASPECT
The proceeds from the event, as identified in the terms and conditions of the
Competition, as well as a €500,00 donation by Kinanis Law Firm, will be donated
