Theme of National Conference:
The National conference on Thermo physical Properties
(NCTP) is organized by Thermo Physical Society of India
(TPSI) in different cities of country once in every two
years. Starting with the first conference at Guwahati
(Assam) in 2001, later it was held in Jaipur (Rajasthan)
2003, Goa 2005, Kollam (Kerala) 2007, Vadodara
(Gujarat) 2009 and IT, BHU (Varanasi) 2011. The 7th
conference in this series will be held at Department of
Physics, Christ Church College, C. S. J. M. University,
Kanpur.
The objective of the conference is to provide a forum for
academic and industrial researchers to meet and
exchange their valuable experiences in the field Thermo
physical properties of a wide variety of materials. The
present conference will be useful to Researchers and
Graduate students engaged in Thermo physical studies of
materials. It is expected that young scientists, research
scholars and students will be greatly benefited and
motivated by interacting with renowned experts in the
field.
The Conference will cover the following topics:
Thermal conductivity and diffusivity.
Thermal Analysis.
Thermal Engineering.
Thermo luminescence.
Caloric metric and Volumetric Studies.
Viscosity and non-Newtonian Properties.
Electrical, Photoelectrical, Optical and radioactive
properties.
Solid State and Nano Sensors.
And Materials such as:
Metallic and non metallic materials, Chalcogrnide Glasses,
Ceramics, Textiles, Minerals, Food Materials, Drugs and
Pharmaceuticals, Composites, Granular, Thin film
materials, Multifunctional materials, Nano-materials,
polymers, Biomaterials etc.

Payment should be made in favour of NCTP-2013 payable at Kanpur
Travel & Accommodation:
Limited TA in the form of Sleeper class by shortest
route may be given to few deserving students/
research scholars who are not getting any financial
support. Accommodation will be provided in Guest
House/ Hotels on request to a limited number of
delegates. Hotel accommodation can be arranged
on payment of one day advance charges.

About the University:
The Chhatrapati Shahu Ji Maharaj University Kanpur was established
in 1966 as Kanpur University when Agra University split into Agra and
Kanpur universities. It is a public university located in Kanpur, Uttar
Pradesh, India and is administered under the state legislature of the
government of Uttar Pradesh. The university has more than 549
affiliated colleges spread over 15 districts of Uttar Pradesh and more
than 4, 50,000 students on its roll. It is one of the largest universities
of Asia catering to urban and rural students offering professional and
academic courses in disciplines of Arts, Science, Commerce, Law,
Engineering, Biotechnology, Computer Applications, Management
and Medicine.
About the College:
Christ Church College, Kanpur, one of the oldest centres for
higher learning of Northern India, was established in the year
1866 and is presently affiliated to CSJM Univ., Kanpur. It is a
minority co-ed college of the CNI Agra Diocese, managed by
the Christ Church College Society, Kanpur. The College
carries a rich heritage of supreme educational services and
standards. Established by eminent educators, the College
has produced luminous alumni of National and International
repute. The College offers graduate, Post graduate and
Doctorate programmes in various disciplines of Sciences,
Commerce, Social sciences and Humanities. The faculty
consists of eminent scholars who have brought laurels to the
college and the country at National and International
platforms.
The Department of Physics through its faculty of academic
distinction, has greatly contributed to the teaching
programmes by providing 2 years M. Sc. Physics with
specialization in Electronics and condensed matter physics
and a 3 year B. Sc. Course in Physics. The Department also

Call for Abstracts:
The Organizing committee invites abstract in the following
format for oral and poster presentation. Prize will be awarded
to the best two oral and poster presentations to encourage
research scholars pursuing their Ph.D.
Guidelines for the Authors:
An electronic version of the Abstract in MS Word Format
should be submitted via E-mail/by post. The text should be in
1.5 lines space with 1 inch margins on all the sides on (A4)
size paper using a font of size 10 with Arial. Reference
should be numbered as they occur in the
abstract/manuscript. Reference should be given with full
details. It should not be more than 300 words. Figures, tables
etc. should be on the same page. Specific Key Words should
also be mentioned below the abstract. Name of the
presenting author should be underlined. Maximum size for
poster presentation: 1mx1m.
An effort will be made to publish the papers presented at the
conference after a peer review in the form of proceedings
either as a special issue of some national journal or AIP
proceedings, as done in the last conferences.
