The 7881SA is Evertz’ advanced spectrum measurement and signal analysis

module. Housed inside of Evertz 7800 or 570 series frames, the 7881SA provides a

high-density and hot-swappable solution for monitoring satellite, cable or terrestrial

networks. This powerful measurement tool is also available as an integrated option on

select Evertz RF router matrices for convenient signal monitoring.

Leveraging state–of–the–art digital technology and Fast Fourier transformations,

the 7881SA performs lightning fast and accurate measurements with its powerful

internal dual-core processor. With an ultra-low noise floor and wide dynamic range,

the 7881SA is an ideal solution to measure any type of satellite, cable or terrestrial

wireless carrier for teleports, cable head-ends, broadcast or wireless facilities.

Frequency range support of 5MHz to 6.73GHz and RF input power range from

-110dBm to +5dBm provide a flexible and future proof solution. Internal 10MHz

reference generation as well as external 10MHz reference support offers improved

frequency accuracy and stability.

A user friendly standalone HTML5 based Graphical User Interface (GUI) is available

for quick user access from any browser including IOS and Android devices. This

allows users to monitor the system anywhere in the world at any time by accessing the

built-in web browser. For integration into a satellite terminal or larger carrier monitoring

system, the user can create a separate interface using the publicly available API.

SNMP and email notifications are also available for detection of carrier measurements

that exceed user-defined thresholds.

Features & Benefits• External or internal 10 MHz

reference support.

• Manual or Automatic adjustable

resolution bandwidths.

• Remote accessible with up to 10

sessions simultaneously.

• Markers and traces with use-

selectable colors, measurement

reporting and storage of multiple

traces.

• Numerous RF displays,

calculations and monitoring

settings include min/max hold

and waterfall display.

• High-Density: Up to 14 modules

in 3RU or 4 modules in 1RU.

SpecAn-FK-CMThe SpecAn-FK-CM feature key enables enhanced carrier monitoring with the ability to monitor up to 100 carriers simultaneously in a single window with

customizable mosaic displays. The user is also able to zoom into a carrier, play back traces and view the trend plot to monitor the carrier power over time.

Alarm lines provide indication of when the carrier power has exceeded the user set threshold. Notification is available via email or SNMP of carrier

measurements that exceed user defined limits, offering peace of mind that carriers are operating as expected.

SNMP traps and email alarm notification are also available to provide automatic notifications. The user may also save pictures of the overall view or

specific carriers to PNG files to generate signal quality reports which can be emailed to external signal providers.

SpecAn-FK-EDCThe SpecAn-FK-EDC feature key enables advanced signal monitoring and analysis by demodulating an MPEG transport stream based DVB-S/S2/S2x

signal. Features include multi-carrier signal characteristics, Signal-to-Noise-Ratio (SNR) measurements and real-time constellation display to view up to

100 constellations in one window.

Historical trends are also provided to plot the SNR over time and quickly detect any signal quality fluctuations with user-set alarm thresholds. Previous

constellations can also be played back from the trend plot history to further analyze the signal change and determine if the signal change was sudden or

gradual.

The user can also choose to display priority carriers by creating a custom list of carriers to display. Customizable display configurations can be saved to

project files for quick recall.

SNMP traps and email alarm notification are also available to provide automatic notifications. The user may also save pictures of the overall view or

specific carriers to PNG files to generate signal quality reports which can be emailed to external signal providers.
