Dear Parishioners,

Our Diocese has established a program in spiritual direction.

Two of our parishioners, Dawn Conley and Edward Blatz have

completed the program and obtained certification. They are now

available to our parishioners for spiritual direction.

A spiritual director guides a person to discover the direction of

God in their life. A person is guided through prayer, sacred

space and grace-filled moments in the context of the teachings

of the Church. The work of the spiritual director is to listen and

ask questions to assist the person in their spiritual growth. A

person who is struggling with a problem or issue is not suitable

for spiritual direction, but rather for pastoral counseling or psy-

chotherapy. Likewise, spiritual direction is not deliverance minis-

try that assists a person to become free of the spirit of evil.

If you would like to participate in this program please contact

In the email give your contact information and reasons you

want to receive spiritual direction. All of the appointments will

take place in the parish office.

Santa Cruz Catholic Church, Buda, Texas

Bishop Vasquez has assigned Father

Paul-Michael Piega to serve as an associate at

Santa Cruz Church. Deacon Paul-Michael will

be ordained to the priesthood on June 23 at

Saint Vincent de Paul Church in Austin. He will

begin priestly service with us on July 6 and will

return to Rome before the fall semester begins

to complete the licentiate in Sacred Liturgy.

We are blessed to be entrusted with a

newly ordained priest whose first experiences

and memories will be of our parish. I ask that we

remember Deacon Paul-Michael in our prayers

that Our Lord will bless him with the grace of

Holy Orders to begin lifelong priestly ministry in

the Diocese of Austin.

On Monday, June 4 Daily Mass will be celebrated in the main church at 8:00 a.m. Monday through Friday. (This is a change from the fall schedule when daily Mass is celebrated at 7:00 a.m. Monday through Thursday and 8:00 a.m. on Friday.) Please note this time change.

Daily Mass is a grace that is accessible to every Catholic person. We are blessed to have a church building constructed with great care and sacrifice that is worthy for the celebration of Holy Mass.

O Sweetest Jesus you came into the world to give all souls the life of your grace. And, to nourish and preserve the gift of the Eucharist you have provided a daily cure for our spiritual and physical infirmi-ties. We humbly beseech you by your Sacred Heart on fire with love for us to forth upon us the gifts of your divine Spirit. May we draw daily from the fountain of Eucharistic grace and be ever more purified and come at last to the possession of eternal life that is happiness with you. Amen.

Misa Diaria

El lunes, 4 de junio la Misa diaria se celebrará en la iglesia principal a las 8:00 a.m. de lunes a viernes. (este es un cambio al horario de otoño cuando la Misa diaria se celebra a las 7:00 a.m. de lunes a jueves y de 8:00 a.m. el viernes.) Tome en cuenta este cambio de horario.

Holy Water Fonts The holy water fonts as we enter the church are brass with a plastic liner. Great care is taken to assure the holy water is fresh and blessed according to the appropriate formulary. When we enter the church, we take the holy water and bless ourselves making the + sign of the Cross. Please do not remove the plastic liner to use as a dipper in the flowing holy water font because water then remains between the plastic liner and the brass bowl. The trapped drops of water between the brass and the plastic cause deterioration of the brass finish. Thank you for helping all of us to keep the holy water fonts in good condition so that we may bless our-selves with a font that is well kept and is a reflection of our respect for the church and Our Lord.

2018 Holy Cross Festival September 7-8

This year's annual Holy Cross Festival will be Friday, September 7th and Saturday, September 8th. Raffle tickets for our annual Holy Cross

Festival will be distributed after all Masses through Father’s Day weekend. All parishioners are asked to pick up their raffle tickets from the

raffle table in the portico. Raffle tickets may also be picked up at the school office during their summer hours. We're asking all families to sell a

minimum of $30 in raffle tickets. Please contact the Holy Cross Festival committee at: santacruzevents1100@gmail.com with any questions

about the festival.

segunda vez? Jesús le contesto: “En verdad te digo: El que no

renace del Agua y del Espíritu no puede entrar en el Reino de

Dios.”

Hermanas, Dios Nuestro Señor nos está haciendo una invita-

ción dándonos la oportunidad para estar con Él ese fin de se-

mana y revestirnos de ese hombre nuevo y despojarnos del

hombre viejo. Es algo Bello y Hermoso Sentir su Presencia en

Nuestro Corazón y mucho más Hermoso es decirle: “Si Señor

aquí estoy para lo que me necesites.” Gracias a cada una de

ustedes y espero que escuchen el llamado del Todopoderoso:

Nuestro Dios Padre, Dios Hijo y Dios Espíritu Santo Amen. Dios

me las Bendiga. Jesús las Espera!!!
