Dr. BrAD HUNTMessage from the Superintendent

Dear Parents and Students of the Class of 2020,

On behalf of the Coppell Independent School District, let me congratulate you on your upcoming graduation. Graduating from high school is a significant milestone and honor in your life’s story. This achievement is a reflection of your hard work and your ability to accomplish your goals. Our entire district is #CISDProud of the work you all have done, whether it is in the classroom, on the athletic fields, in the band, on the stage, in print or video, via various extracurricular activities or in other areas where your passions lie. For the Class of 2020, your leadership and dedication has been a catalyst for success that Coppell ISD has enjoyed.

I share your disappointment that the end of your senior year is not happening as expected or planned. What should be a special time in your lives and for your families and friends is now looking very different. As we adjust to these challenging times, celebrating accomplishments is more important than ever. You have worked hard and deserve the opportunity to be recognized for your efforts. You have exceeded all expectations, and in doing so, have added new dimensions to our school district. You have left your mark on CISD in a very positive and meaningful way.

We also are not giving up hope that we can come together this summer to celebrate our seniors in a bigger way. We are also looking for avenues to recognize you in some of our fall 2020 activities.

The more than 980 students who are part of the Coppell ISD Class of 2020 will be remembered for your perseverance, resilience and grit. When we say “Cowboy Fight Never Dies,” we are talking about how you handle situations such as our COVID-19 closure. Your legacy in Coppell ISD will be remembered for generations to come.

I hope you will use all that you have learned in Coppell ISD as you take on the next chapter in your life’s story. Whether your next step is continuing your education in college, jumping in and starting your career or honorably serving our great country, I pray you will be the difference maker in our rapidly changing world and you soar to greater heights in all that you do. I know your dreams for yourselves and our world are big, and therefore I look to the future with great hope and expectancy. I feel better about our future knowing you all will be a part of it. Always remember you are forever part of the Coppell ISD family, and I look forward to seeing the great things you will do in the future.

I close by saluting the CISD Class of 2020! You have left your mark on all of our hearts, and we will never forget you.

Sincerely,

Dr. Brad Hunt
