IntroductionHello everyone,As we take a step forward in 2019 we are pleased to showcase our new ‘Walking for Health’ timetable and programme guide.
We have all braved the cold winter months (albeit, this year they have been quite mild).
We can now reap the rewards that spring and summer will offer.
Within this booklet you will be able to identify a whole host of weekly walks taking place across Redcar & Cleveland.
We welcome you to come along and take part.

NewsFrequently askED questionsHow long do the walks last? Redcar and Cleveland health walks have a three tier grading system, level 1, 2 & 3. Level 1 – approx. 30 minutes Level 2 – approx. 1 hour Level 3 – up to 1 hour 30 minutes Walks do vary on the speed of the group and the location of the walk. Walks start on time so we advise you to arrive a little earlier than the advertised start time. Are the walks guided? All of our walks are run by trained and experienced walk leaders who are very friendly and knowledgeable. Is there a cost? All walks are FREE of charge; however, you may want to bring a few pennies along as some walks do finish close to local cafés. How do I sign up? Simply turn up! We have no booking system, all we ask is you arrive slightly earlier than advertised and be suitably clothed for the walk. Do I need to be super fit to attend? No, the idea of all our health walks is to have fun, meet new people and improve the health and wellbeing of everyone taking part. What should I wear? Comfortable and weather appropriate clothing. Walks will take place in most conditions so please dress suitably. Some walks do take on multiple terrains so sensible footwear with good grip is also advised. Where do the walks start? All starting locations of walks are listed alongside appropriate dates. Where do the routes take us? Routes are selected by walks leaders, which will change from time to time. What happens if a walk is cancelled? Health walks are rarely cancelled but in the occasion of such thing, a walk leader will be present at the start of walk to notify you. Can children attend? Children are welcome to attend if accompanied by a responsible adult.
Can I bring my dogs? Some walks are dog friendly. To find out which walks are, please get in touch via the number below.
