BiosaC Fermentors/ Bioreactors are in-place sterilizablesystems ideal for pilot through production applications.Compact design allows the system to fit on the bench or onoptional mobile skid. The BiosaC comes along with all necessary piping, valves andinstruments. The skid holds all the piping and all utilities need to beconnected onlyat one point of the eachskid. All the wetted parts will be of Stainless steel-316Landnon wettedpartsof StainlessSteel-304.

Temperature Control System

The jacket is provided with automated secondary loop temperature

control system. A PT 100 temperature sensor is provided on the lowersidewall of the fermentor through a 25 mm, inclined port. Thesecondary loop consists of a circulation line with temperature sensors,heat exchangers, safety relief valve, pressure gauge, flow switch,circulation pump for heating and cooling the circulating fluid. Theexternal loop is provided with valves for steam inlet, chilled water inlet,normal water inlet, chilled water outlet, normal water outlet, drain valveand jacket condensatedrain valve.

Steam is automatically introduced into the jacket for full vesselsterilization. Raising temperature during process using steam isregulated by limpet and vessel temperature sensors.The chilled water inlet and outlet valves are automatically operated forcooling the vessel after empty or full vessel sterilization or for reducingtemperature duringprocess.

Empty vessel sterilization is achieved by direct clean steamintroduction into the fermentor through automated diaphragm valve. Atemperature sensor is provided at the bottom outlet line above steamtrap to monitor and control the empty vessel sterilization temperatureby operating thecleansteaminlet valve fora particular time cycle.

The BiosaC is provided with 1 No.Fixed speed peristaltic for dosing antifoam solution into theFermentor, responding to signal from foam sensor.

Sampling system consists of a zero dead leg manualsampling valve, steam lock valve, manual diaphragm typeclean steam supplyvalve, steam trap anda sampling device.
