MADD CANADA'S ROAD SIDE MEMORIALS & WHITE CROSSES:

In some provinces, MADD Canada has an agreement to install Memorial White Crosses or Memorial Road Signs if someone was killed by an impaired driver on a provincial highway. If your loved one was killed on a provincial highway, contact your regional Victim Services Manager to see if MADD Canada has an agreement in your province. A Cross or Sign cannot be installed unless the driver was convicted of an impaired driving offence and the appeal period is over. MADD Canada helps victims/survivors pay tribute to their loved ones or recognize injuries they themselves have suffered through a variety of memorial and tribute efforts. These memorials and tributes give a voice to those who have been affected by impaired driving, acknowledge the losses they have suffered and help bring the personal and human realities of impaired driving to a society numbed by statistics and headlines.
