Poultry India Charting Growth Milestones
The Need of Existence
The Indian Poultry industry was growing rapidly through its geniuses led by the late
Dr BV Rao
It was transforming from a small backyard farming
practice into a major commercial activity in mere
four decades which was really fast
There were several exhibitions across India.
Sometimes these numbered 9-10 events. It was a
logistical nightmare with little cohesion between
these events
These did not add value to the greater picture of
increasing perception that India was one of the biggest players in the global poultry
market
An Idea/Thought: To form an organization to provide stimulus to the Poultry Industry
Creating An Unified Voice First Milestone: Origin of Poultry India
Some of India’s top poultry farmers, poultry equipment manufacturers, animal health, feed manufacturers among others deliberated to organize one singular,
definitive exhibition that would give poultry farmers not just a platform to showcase their collective strength and voice, but also to tell the world that India’s poultry industry was up there with the best: booming and growing from strength
to strength

ORIGIN OF KNOWLEDGE DAY
• When we started at 2007, we were having technical seminars and during this we realized the attendance was poor tough people were interested as it was conflicting with their other agenda of attending the Poultry India exhibition.
• So from 2012, we decided to have a dedicated knowledge day which held every year a day before Poultry India exhibition.
Adding an extra touch The Bright Idea of Knowledge Day
Increasing Intellect Quotient
Knowledge Day -- A globally recognized technical seminar that precedes the world class 3-day Poultry India exhibition
The entire day, separate event from exhibition is organized to benefit the poultry industry and help delegates focus on subjects that will help them understand the intricacies of the industry, to learn from experts and role
models and take the learning back to their farms. This exclusive interaction with global experts helps us gain experiences & knowledge which in turn
makes the poultry industry stronger, better

Fighting Protein Deficiency
Poultry India has gone beyond organising exhibitions & technical seminars & caring for the
industry
The Protein Awareness Campaign
Pune Hyderabad… and more
Launched on September 23, 2015
The Big Leap Of Faith
• Eat Right, Eat Healthy -- An educational campaign to raise awareness on the scourge of protein deficiency prevalent in the country.
• On the need for a balanced daily diet consisting high proteins: 1gm of protein for every kilogram of body eight everyday.
• It is aligning its national message with the Prime Minister’s Swachh Bharat Swasth Bharat campaign.
• Social media is being intensely and very successfully used for this campaign.
• Poultry India has also recommended the Government to dedicate a National Protein Week.
• We had dedicated different websites to send Poultry India’s messages about Protein and now they are very popular.
www.poultryprotein.com www.poultryrecipes.co.in
• Poultry India is doing Protein Awareness campaign through road-shows, discussion with parents, teachers and school children in Urban and Semi-urban areas, and also through town-hall meets with village elders in Villages.
• Live poultry outlets in Pune , Nasik, Hyderabad received danglers in Hindi and vernacular languages to display at their shops through their distributors. The owners/workers of these outlets have been sensitized to explain to the consumers the goodness of poultry proteins.
• Plans are afoot to talk to the Medical Representatives of pharmaceuticals and doctors who will discuss the Protein Awareness Campaign with doctors, who will be asked to tell their patients on the goodness of proteins
Eat Right Eat Healthy
• Electronic Direct Mailers have been sent to Poultry associations, affiliates, veterinary colleges, major poultry distributors and well-wishers on the campaign
