In late January 2003, a vehicle struck and destroyed a tollbooth along SR 874.
Transfield Services crews responded immediately to the scene, directed traffic and facilitated access for EMS/Fire-Rescue. The toll collector was not seriously injured.
Due in part to subcontracts already established by Transfield Services, the lane was open and collecting tolls 24 hours later after Transfield Services had the toll lane repaired and a completely new tollbooth installed.
