Parlotones, Stimela, Zonke, TheoKgosinkwe, Toya Delazy, AKA andMiCasa; while five local acts andbands will also perform.“We have been carefully planning

this event for the past five years andfeel the time is right to stage it now.

This is because we have the neces-sary capabilities and capacity topresent a very successful event,”said the show’s producer Tembi Ma-hambehlala.“We felt PE deserves a signature

event like this. For a long time PEhas been a spectator while other ma-jormetros in the countryhost annualevents of this nature boosting tour-ism in those regions. We want thisevent to contribute to job creation inthe region as we all know how direthe economy is in the country, espe-cially in this region,” said Maham-behlala.According to Mahambehlala, the

line-up was deliberately designed tohave a crossover look and appeal soas to promote social cohesion while

Sankani, who is a Grade R teacher atSithembile Primary School, said there wasa high rate of absenteeism from teachers aswell as pupils as a result of the HIV/Aidspandemic.Sankani told parents that itwas important

that they sought help from relatives and sup-ported groups if faced with a sickness thatresulted in their not being able to let theirchildren go to school.“We also asked parents not to discrimi-
