Making Boxes

•Click the Rectangle Frame Tool•Click on the page and drag until the box is its preferred size.•If the sizing needs to be changed, insert the dimensions into the Width and Height boxes.

Inserting a picture

•Once making the box, drag the desired picture over into the box. •The picture may need to be resized or centered.

Resizing and Centering Pictures

•When resizing a picture, click the box until the tan outline appears, as shown to the left.•Once the tan outline is surrounding the box, hold down the SHIFT key and drag the picture to its preferred size.•With the tan outline still surrounding the picture, you can center the picture as needed in the box.•To resize the actual box, click until the blue outline appears. With this outline, you are able to move, resize, and rotate the picture box.

Inserting a Text Box

•When inserting a text box, click the Text tool as shown to the left.•Drag the mouse to make the text box. The size can be changed once the box is made.•This technique is very similar to making a picture box.

Changing Text in a Text Box

• To change the font of a text, click the scroll arrow in the Font Box.•Highlight the text and then choose your desired font.•To make the text bold or italicized, click the box below.•When changing the size of the text, highlight it and then click the preferred size in the Text Size scroll box.
