The VCC is shown to be fed from the gatehouse. This places the VCC on generator power. The Army Standard/Criteria does not require the VCC to be on generator power. It may be more cost effective to have the VCC with its own dedicated service. This would reduce the size of the gatehouse transformer and the generator.

Drawing shows a "generic" Gibraltor cable passive barrier and has it labelled as K12-L2. It is my understanding that the only Gibraltor cable passive barrier that has been tested according to the Army Standard requirements is the K12 barrier on the DoS list. This in turn would be a K12-L3 rated barrier which is stronger than we require and could be used. However this barrier in it's "tested configuration" has terminal posts at 60 feet spacing and line posts at 20 foot spacing. Please confirm configuration and spacing of barrier to be provided.

The specification section included in the RFP was a Draft version. The current version is attached and though similar is a lot clearer to read and edit. Would like to discuss at the review conference the possibility of utilizing this specification and just edit it in a similar manner. (See Attached)
