Torrential rain in South-East ofMyanmar in early August 2019has caused severe floodingand many landslides in Mon,Kayin States and Tanintharyiregion. A major landslideoccured at the hillside of ThaePhyu Kone village in Paungtownship (Mon State) on 9August 2019. It caused amassive debris flow, damagingbuildings, including a row ofstanding vehicles withpassengers on the road.
