More recently, the buffet system of offering a wide variety of choice has become popular at most marriages. Nevertheless, one cannot rejoice at an Indian wedding without the sumptuous Indian Wedding Feast.

At Amari Pattaya we recognise that the Indian chef is critical to your guests’ satisfaction with the wedding fare on offer. Our resident Indian chefs will create delicious dishes. And where specific ethnic fare is requested, we will do our utmost to source locally.

One of the traditional Indian wedding ceremonies, where dancing forms an integral part, is the Sangeet. Because of the large amount of guests attending a Sangeet it is usually held in the Aranda Ballroom.

Most families take pride in throwing a lavish Sangeet for their son or daughter. Guests are welcomed with drinks and appetizers. Don’t shy away from that gorgeous outfit hanging in your closet, come dressed in your finest lehenga or sari because not only do the bride and groom wear a stunning outfit to their Sangeet so do all of the guests (the more sparkles and embellishment the better).

Music is a huge part of a Sangeet. Many times family members put on singing and dancing performances. Anything from a live band to a Punjabi DJ are spotted at Sangeets. Along with energetic music comes the Indian love of dancing, and no one needs an invitation. So strap on those dancing shoes and get ready to party the night away.

Seating plans for your Sangeet at Aranda Ballroom range from creatively casual with sofas and bean bags to more formal round banquet tables. And of course a large stage and dance floor is essential.

Along with music and dancing the Sangeet night is a great way to meet family and friends of the bride and groom and toast to their new life together.

Wedding Reception The Wedding Reception is a post marriage ceremony attended by the friends and relatives from both the families, who essentially gather to celebrate with the newly wedded couple.

More intimate wedding receptions for up to 100 guests can be held at Rim Suan, while grander events, where the guest list can top 300, are best suited to the Aranda Ballroom or, during the dry cooler months, at the outdoor Party Ground.

The Wedding Reception is often characterized by opulence and magnificence. While the décor, floral and fashionable style in which the Aranda Ballroom is dressed, makes it looks mesmerizing and majestic. Lavish cuisine and excellent Indian dishes created by Amari Orchid’s chefs spice up the entire ambiance of the reception party.

A resident Indian DJ, dancers and sometimes elegant Thai cultural shows are incorporated into the evening programme to further entertain guests. Amari Pattaya’s wedding consultant will be pleased to discuss all of the options available.
