Manufactured by our proprietary, patent pending process: indicators and pathogens in RTE Salad Matrix. Fresh, characterized RTE bagged salad has been homogenized with organisms of interest and preserved for stability. Includes indicators, L.monocytogenes, Salmonella spp and E.coli O157:H7. Certified by AOAC plate count methods with value assignments on accompanying COA.

Traceable

Manufactured from genuine NCTC/NCPF strains. Value assignments are established using AOAC and FDA plate count methods to provide traceability/commutability to routine methods.

Easy to Use

Designed for simplicity. To prepare, add 10mL of Butterfield’s Buffer directly to vial and vortex. Allow to hydrate for approximately 30 minutes and vortex mix. Dilute 1mL of this hydrated sample to 90mL of Butterfield’s Buffer. This is your sample for analysis.

Stable

After inoculation and homogenization, samples are preserved and lyophilized to maintain viability. Storage in freezer maintains viability until expiration date.

L.monocytogenes in RTE Salad Matrix

A 1g sample of RTE salad matrix fortified with, L.monocytogenes (NCTC 7973) and E.aerogenes (NCTC 10006) at approximately 10E5 CFU each per vial. Re-hydrate sample with 10mL of Butterfield’s Buffer followed by subsequent serial dilutions to method required levels.

Salmonella in RTE Salad Matrix

A 1g sample of RTE salad matrix fortified with Salmonella spp and E.coli (NCTC 9001) at approximately 10E5 CFU each per vial. Re-hydrate sample with 10mL of Butterfield’s Buffer followed by subsequent serial dilutions to method required levels.

Indicators in RTE Salad Matrix

A 1g sample of RTE Salad Matrix fortified with E.coli, K.aerogenes, S.aureus, and C.albicans. A 10mL re-hydration with Butterfield’s Buffer yields the 10E-1 dilution take 1mL of 10E-1 to 90mL Butterfield’s Buffer for analysis. Certified for Aerobic Count, Total Coliform, E. coli, S.aureus, Enterobacteriaceae and Yeast. Analyte activity levels are targeted for the mid-point of the countable range of typical AOAC and BAM plate count methods.
