There is no perfect time to visit Vietnam. Generally speaking, destinations in the north such as Ha Noi and Sapa are great in October, November and December, as you’ll see little rain and should have clear skies and temperate conditions. The coastal stretch from Hue down to Nha Trang is great in the first half of the year, from January through to July, while Ho Chi Minh City and the Mekong Delta are best from November through to February or March.

NORTH VIETNAM

Ha Noi, Ha Long Bay, Sapa, Hoa Binh, Mai Chau, Dien Bien Phu, Ha Giang, Mu Cang Chai, Ninh Binh & Thanh Hoa

Northern Vietnam is generally warm and sunny from September to December. January to March is cold winter weather sets in, accompanied by fine persistent mists which can last for several days. Summer is from May to September and is also the rainy season, when heavy downpours render the low-lying delta area almost unbearably hot and sticky, and flooding is a regular hazard.

CENTRAL VIETNAM

Vinh, Quang Binh, Hoi An, Da Nang, Hue, Nha Trang, Quy Nhon, Dalat & Central Highlands

Along the central coast the rainfall pattern reverses under the influence of the northeast monsoon. Around Nha Trang the wet season starts with a flourish in November and continues through December. Further north, around Hué and Da Nang, the rains last a bit longer, from September to February, so it pays to visit these two cities in the spring (Feb–May). The coast of central Vietnam is the zone most likely to be hit by typhoons. In general the typhoon season lasts from August to November.

SOUTH VIETNAM

Ho Chi Minh City, Phan Thiet & Mui Ne, Mekong Delta, Vung Tau & Long Hai, Con Dao & Phu Quoc

Southern Vietnam the dry season lasts from December to late April or May, and the rains from May through to November. Since most rain falls in brief afternoon downpours, this need not be off-putting. Despite the odd downpour, favorable diving conditions continue around the island of Con Dao in May.

BRG KING’S ISLANDGOLF RESORT

Situated in Ha Tay province, Viet Nam, Kings’ Island Golf is an international standard golf club located 50 km west of Ha Noi, and 45 km from Noi Bai International Airport. THE DALAT PALACE GOLF CLUB

The 9-hole course initially designed by a French architect in 1922 as a private golf course for Emperor Bao Dai, Vietnam’s last Emperor. It was simply routed through the existing sand dunes and left to be a natural, links-style course. Set among 120 acres the 7000 plus yard Cambodia golf course was designed by Japanese and Taiwanese designers and is lined by sugar palm trees, native fruit and evergreen plants, flowers and rocks. Large and distant mountains in the background make for a relaxed day out golfing in Phnom Penh. The front nine is rather flat, with wide fairways and many sand traps is surrounded by rice farms.

The greens are very large and 3-putting is fairly common. The back nice is a bit hillier and more challenging. Like the rest of Cambodia, Siem Reap is hot and muggy all year round, and its two seasons are differentiated primarily by the amount of rainfall .Cambodia’s dry season runs from November to April. Because Siem Reap is in the north of the country, it tends to be a little cooler, and temperatures are at their most comfortable from December to February, averaging around 25°C (77°F). There’s the least rainfall in December and January. Monsoon Season in Siem Reap doesn’t mean endless rain. Although Myanmar has two distinct seasons - dry and wet - you can visit the country throughout the year. That being said, at the peak of the wet season some regions become inaccessible and some, such as Ngapali Beach, close altogether in preparation for the high winds and heavy rainfall that batter the coast annually. Like much of South-East Asia, Myanmar’s dry season runs from October through to May and the wet season from May/June through to early October, when the south-west monsoon starts to blow. Within each season there are variations in temperature, with the dry months leading up to the wet season (March and April) and the early wet season (May and June) usually being the hottest of the year when temperatures can reach astronomical highs. The colder months follow the end of the rains, from October to December/January, when it is cool in the foothills and highland areas, especially at night. The driest regions of the country, avoiding much of the annual rain, are the plains surrounding Bagan and Mandalay which remain relatively dry aside from the odd heavy downpour, all the way through to August.
