Indonesia is a transcontinental country

stretching between Southeast Asia

and Oceania. With more than 237 million people,

is the world’s 4th

most populous nation after

China, India and the

United States.

Indonesia is also the largest Islamic country in the world -85% of its people are Muslims. Aside from Islam, the

government allows the practice of other faiths including: Christianity, Hinduism and Buddhism.

Operation Word reports that in some parts of Indonesia,

persecution against Christians

is still rampant and in East Timor and AmbonChristians are still being

attacked and killed by

Muslim extremists.

Prayer PointsPray for the presence of God to abound in Indonesia; pray for open

doors for ministry.

Pray against the persecution of Christians, the spirit of poverty and religious and racial divides.

Pray that the people of Indonesia will have a genuineunderstanding of Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior.

Pray for Christians in Indonesia to become effective witnesses of Christ and for their lives to be able to spiritually impact the whole country.

Pray for more workers to go and reach out to the people in this nation.
