03
Indonesia Climate
Change Trust Fund
(ICCTF) is an essential
instrument for the
Government of
Indonesia to achieve
climate change and
mitigation targets
through RAN/RAD-GRK
and RAN-API.
ICCTF supports 26%
emission reduction
target by national effort
and up to 41% with
international support
in 2020 by distributing
domestic resources
and international
funding to RAN/RAD-
GRK in line activities.
Supporting 29%
emission reduction
target by national
effort and up to 41%
with international
support in 2030.
ICCTF IN A GLANCE
04
To support Government of Indonesia in reducing greenhouse
gasses through low-carbon economy and adaptation to the
negative impacts of climate change.
OBJECTIVE
05
To set climate change issues into
national, provincial, and district
development planning.
To implement mitigation and
adaptation activities in lowering
greenhouse gasses emissions.
GOALS
06
ICCTF was launched by the Government of Indonesia to coordinate and harmonize climate finance
HISTORY
ICCTF succesfully funded key mitigation and adaptation projects nation-wide
07
Until 2014 the UNDP was the interim fund manager for the ICCTFMandiri bank was appointed as ICCTF fund manager
ICCTF has transformed into an independent working unit under Bappenas and continually fund succesful Small Grant Programme throughout Indonesia
ICCTF continues to carry various programme and PPP Pilots

aim to reduce GHG emissions through financial support for the programs of reforestation/rehabilitation of degraded lands, restoration of degraded land into community forest, energy biomass and agro-forestry, low carbon and productive management of degraded peatland, and sustainable area conservation management.
aim to repare national and local institutions in Indonesia as well as the communities that are vurnerable to the impacts of climate change through the dissemination of climate information, development and inovation of adaptation strategies, use of technology and knowledge, and promote the establishment of policies for adaptation.
aim to reduce GHG emissions significantly in relation to supply and demand of energy, including the financing of low carbon energy generation technologies and the implementation of conservation and energy efficiency.

In May 2014, ICCTF’s Steering Committee agreed to fund six projects under Smal Grant Program scheme.
With the Small Grant Program scheme, ICCTF channels around Rp. 500 million per project to NGOs and research institution working on climate change mitigation and adaptation projects.
Six NGOs; Yayasan Arupa, IPB, Politeknik ATMi, Yayasan Humaniora, Yayasan Pikul and Bingkai Indonesia.
The Small Grant Program marks a milestone in ICCTF’s portofolio as it is the first time the trust fund channels funds to NGOs/CSOs and research institution/Universities
