2 - Design Basis

Lighting calculation for indoor area is designed using Easy Plan Ver.2.4.1. ofSaudi Lighting company for all Indoor / Outdoor areas.

3 Design Parameter

3.1 Reference to SCECO standard no [TES.P.119.25], Rev(0), Clause [4.1.4],

Page no. 7, The reflectance factor for control building & 110kV GIS building and

13.8kV SWGR building.

3.1.1 Reflectance Factors

-Ceiling 0.3

-Wall 0.3

-Floor 0.2

3.1.2 Maintenance Factor

-Maintenance Factor will be 0.7 & 0.6 as per consultant requirement by

comments letter no.

(SCJ/SEC/20731025/D10595 DATED 29.03.08).

3.2 Work Plane height for normal indoor lighting system shall be considered

at zero level from finished level except Office as per consultant requirement by

comments letter no.

3.6 Portable type self contained emergency light fixture are proposed near the

proposed at the exit.

DC emergency lights with 60W incandescent lamps are proposed. These lights will be powered

by 125VDC substation batteries. Recessed down light type fixture propsed for false ceiling and

surface type is proposed for other areas.

4 illumination levels for normal lighting

4.1 Reference to SCECO standard no (TES-P-119.25), Clause 5.2, Page(12). The minimum maintained illumination level for indoor fluorescent system

shall be provide as per below table.

The average maintained illumination level for the emergency lighting 10 Lux at

the floor level.
