Unique double rotary step grateThe grate consists of three consecutive and stepped placed grates which may be moved independently. As a result, wood chips, as well as other agricultural fuels, may be burned efficiently.

Fully refractory-lined combustion chamber with recirculationThe refractory combustion chamber guar-antees high combustion temperatures through optimum heat storage (also at part-load), mini-mises the ignition procedure and reduces emis-sions.To reduce clinker in the ash, Hargassner of-fers flue gas recirculation, especially for very dry material and agricultural fuels. Every Eco-HK boiler features a Flue gas recirculation as a standard. Due to the cooling of the firebed during combustion, the relatively low ash melt-ing point of miscanthus or corn cobs can be undercut. The ash can easily removed into the ash extraction auger.

Firebed monitoring & Lambda sensor controlThrough the exact and contactless firebed-height monitoring system with sensors, the most effective combustion condition depending on fuel quality is detected.It doesn't matter which fuel type is stored - Wood chips soft or hard, dry or damp - the control unit uses the lambda sensor to detect the relevant calorific value and regulates the optimum fuel-air mixture.Your heating system is always working with the needed heat output at optimum combustion values.This is how convenient controls will be in the future - constant manual adjustment of the sys-tem to the fuel is a thing of the past.

Perfect cleaning - increases efficiency!The new-designed cleaning approach cleans ALL heat exchanger tubes in regular inter-vals - NEW - also the 1. down draught (heat resistant material). The turbulators remove the fly ash from the pipes, which directly falls down into the ash extraction auger. The latest de-veloped De-ash system cleans the boiler at regular intervals. Only one ash extraction auger transports the fly ash, as well as the grate ash into the completely integrated ash box. (patent-ed) During the transport the ash is crushed and compressed in the ash box. Optionally a 300 litre ash bin is available. The result is higher cleaning comfort and increased overall effi-ciency.

Closed grates with high firebed - perfect gasifi-cation process with lowest emission values.

After a set time, the de-ash flap closes. No shutdown/burnout is performed, only the back rotary grate is opened. The ash falls down and the boiler continues immediately.

If the boiler is completely cold a full cleaning process is executed. Both grates rotate, ad-ditionally to the cold ash, all foreign objects like stones, nails, etc. are being removed.

For Miscanthus, or materials which tend to slag, the added "breaker function" forces the ash into the ash box.
