Plastopang is a clear PVC based �ammable two-part cold vulcanizing cement. Plastopang is oil and chemical resistant and will bond to most PVC and Polyurethane compounds.

Types of ApplicationPlastopang cold bonding PVC cement can be used for the bonding of cleats, V-guides and edge walls as well as belt splicing and fabrication including PVC to metal bonding. Plastopang aslo works e�ectively on soft durometer urethanes.

Temperature Range for ApplicationIt is recommended to use Plastopang in temperatures between 10 C and 38 C.Temperatures below 10 C will dramatically increase drying time. High humidity above 50% will also greatly increase drying time. Plastopang cures to a usable state4-6 hours at 22 C.

Shelf LifeThe shelf life of Chemvulc Metal Primer is 2 year from the date of manufacture in the sealed container. All cements and solvents should be stored in a cool, dark and dry environment.

Metal Preparation & Application

1. Shake and stir well before use.2. Use a grinder with a twisted wire brush or sanding disc to prepare the metal surface. Remove all rust and oxidation. The surface should be as even as possible.3. Clean the metal surface with a cleaning solvent and clean cloth to remove all metal and dust.4. Apply an even coat of Chemvulc Primer to the surface and allow it to completely dry.5. Apply the appropriate adhesive for the type of material being used. Follow the instructions for the adhesive.

Chemvulc Hot Metal Primer is a general purpose , high performance bonding agent that will bond a wide variety of elastomer compounds to metal or other substrates in the Hot Vulcanization process.

Chemvulc Hot Metal Primer is versatile and can be used as both a single coat bonding agentor as a two coat system applied over Chemvulc Metal Primer. As a single coat bonding agentor as a top coat (cover cement) over primer, Chemvulc Hot Metal Primer will bond compoundson natural rubber, Isoprene Rubber, Styrene-Butadiene Rubber, Butadiene Rubber, ChloropreneRubber and Nitrile Rubber to metals such as carbon and alloy steels, stainless steel, aluminiumcopper and copper alloys, magnesium, zinc, etc, as well as a variety of plastics.For bonding to stainless steel , Chemvulc Hot Metal Primer is preferably used as a two coatsystem with Chemvulc Metal Primer. In certain cases, Butyl Rubber and EPDM elastomers mayalse be bonded.

Gloves, safety glasses and a charcoal �ltered face mask should always be used. All repairs should be done in a clean, dry environment out of direct sunlight and where the repaired area will not be contaminatedfrom foreign materials blown into it.

1. Establish where the leak is, if required, using a soapy solution such as a mix of washing up liquid and water, paint/ spray over the suspect area and mark where the escaping air produces bubbles.

2. Use a patch to cover the area, with an overlap of at least 2cm away from the leak, place the patch in position and mark around it with a pencil or similar.

3. Carefully clean both surfaces, repair area and patch with a solvent such as acetone or methyl ethyl ketone (MEK) to remove any contaminants and moisture and allow to �ash o�, - DO NOT USE TURPS OR ANY MINERAL OIL BASED SUBSTANCES

4. Sand / texture both the repair area and the patch with a new piece of 60 grit paper, wheel or similiar. If using a bu�ng tool max 5000rpm. Brush o� dust.

5. Tape around repair with masking tape to avoid mess.

6. Apply the �rst thin layer of the adhesive mixture (adhesive and hardener stirred thoroughly) using the brush provided on both the patch and the repair area and allow to dry completely, approx 30 - 40min. - NEVER USE A HEAT GUN OR SIMILAR TO SPEED UP THE DRYING TIME.

7. Apply the second thin layer of the glue on both surfaces and allow to dry for 8 - 13mins or until it feels slightly tacky which ever comes �rst. If the second coat becomes completely dry repeat step 7.

8. Contact both surfaces together and press �rmly making sure to workout any trapped air bubbles that may be present.

9. Leave the repair without moving it for 2 hours to dry.

10. After 12 hours the repaired area will be suitable for use.

Stir the contents within the can of CV2002 thoroughly before use. Add the hardener at a mixture ratio determined by the table below. Stir thoroughly to combine the two parts.
