• Tank and Bund Fires The training covers the relation between the design of storage tanks, development of credible incidents, fixed and mobile fire protection systems and emergency response. Inspection testing and maintenance of fire protection systems are also addressed during this training
• Integrated Fire Safety of IBC’s and Intermodals This training addresses options for preventing, mitigation and emer- gency response for incidents with IBC’s containing flammable or combustible liquids and Intermodals containing hazardous materials.

3-day training: Tank and bund fires
H2K and MARSH Risk Consulting have joint forces to set up a training dedicated to Safety and Emergency Response for tank terminals and petrochemical and pharmaceutical sites with storage tanks. This three day, JOIFF accredited, training covers the relation between the design of storage tanks, development of credible incidents, fixed and mobile fire protection systems and incident response. Inspection, testing and maintenance of fire protection systems are also addressed during this training.
The training is built around the NFPA codes and standards 11, 15, 16, 25 and 30, while using a performance based process for designing custom made fire protection solutions for various situations, conditions and incident scenarios. The development and options for storage tank fires and bund fires are also discussed in detail during this training.
This training has been designed for those who have to deal with or have responsibility for fire protection systems or emergency response in case of atmospheric storage tanks.

JOIFF Accredited Training includes training courses and programmes specifically developed for the chemical- and petrochemical industry in which JOIFF members operate.
JOIFF training is competency based and is therefore increasingly site specific, building on core emergency response team competencies.Key to all JOIFF accredited training and personal development of emergency responders is an accredited system of assessment and verification to ensure competence which should be demonstrated on an on-going basis.
All successful participants in JOIFF accredited training courses/ programs receive JOIFF accredited certificates of competence.

JOIFF deals with Fire Hazard Management. While the emphasis in fire hazard management is on prevention, protection and preparation of risk based scenarios, JOIFF members are also the first callofficers / incident controllers at emergency incidents. Members, therefore, must be fully versed in all aspects of current fire, security, hazardous material and medical emergency response, and must be able to command operations involving fire and other emergency scenarios of all types varying from very minor incidents through to major catastrophic events.
