STOWMAN [S] Industry standard What are the benefits for you? • Stowage coordinators control their own performance via integrated dashboard • Increased vessel ulizaon by opmizaon engine (volume/weight/reefer) • Evaluate mulple stowage opons • TROP – reduced bunker consumpon of up to 10% per voyage • Improved stowage quality and increased safety onboard StowMan [S] - increases the vessel ulizaon and the cargo intake onboard Uses the power of the loading computer to the beneficial of the stowage coordinators of large shipping line operators. Customers value our integrated systems onboard (MACS3) and ashore (StowMan [s] ) with same data to allow maximized vessel ulizaon and higher safety standards. The advancement includes all basic features for voyage cargo planning involving mulple ports as well as enhanced features such as an state of the art opmizaon engine.

With making multi-port plans in seconds rather than in hours, Stowman[S] is changing the way of a planner’s daily work. Giving him time to focus on restows, crane utilization and finding more cargo space the planner becomes more a vessel managers with focus on all economic aspects. As a tool he will be given a dash board for quick reference of all relevant voyage criteria – of course individually customizable by vessel and voyage.

Modern KPI management requires analysis of large data volumes. All historic plans will be filed in a central data base allowing for data mining and direct comparison of vessel performances.

• Distinction between restower (over pier) and shifter; input of final position, custom restower, variable container sizes - both old and new ISO, as well as custom types

• Wide range of information per cargo unit: type, weight, port of loading/discharge, operator, non-dangerous and dangerous goods, overdimensions, handling instructions, etc.

• Port rotation with date/time and quay• Suggestions for stowage of special containers, proper visibility, minimized lash problems, ballast tanks,

additional weight per stack• Drag-and-drop planning for single pier containers and optimized area planning with stowage checks

BELCO container management enhances the MACS3 loading computer with container management features which are easy to use. Containers can be colored according to a variety of criteria, e.g. by port of discharge. The longitudinal section shows containers, tanks and visibility lines. A special check highlights all critical criteria at a glance. It shows a 3D visualization of the ship with all its cargo.

• All-in-one condition check: exceeding stack weights, reefers at nonreefer positions• Flying containers, dangerous goods check, hatch cover clearance, UN/Locode,

stability, stress, visibility, draught restrictions• Lashings, types and overdimensions, handling instructions and container

The StowMan[S] optimization engine is the ultimate paradigm change stowage coordinators have been waiting for the longest time. It is a stowage decision support tool based on latest optimization engine technology. It uses the experience of the stowage coordinator to guide the system by increasing the stowage coordinators own productivity. StowMan[S] offers multi-port planning in seconds with 1...n scenarios keeping doors open for entire voyage planning.

Sealash including Lash Optimization lashes containers properly. Forces are calculated according to DNV GL, BV, ABS and LR. It generates various reports, e.g. inventory list, lash forces by bay, stack and tier. Lashings can automatically be applied according to the Cargo Securing Manual.

This checks the fulfillment of the stowage and segregation requirements imposed by the latest amendment to the IMDG Code:

• Multiple dangerous goods per cargo unit• Segregation checks, based on UN Number• Fire-fighting and safety plans• Medical First Aid Guide (MFAG)

Module for best possible ballast distribution combining highest fuel efficiency and safety requirements with respect to stability and strength. Replaces ballast water with more cargo intake.Optimization procedure:

• Manual optimization • Automatic ballast optimization (with

consideration of stability and strength)
