Setup Guide and User Manual

Increase Salesforce marketing effectiveness and

boost your marketing efforts by using the most

effective communication channel.

Prerequisites

To begin using Infobip SMS capabilities in Salesforce Marketing Cloud, you’ll need to:

1. Create Infobip account

a) Generate API key on Infobip platform

b) Setup Senders on Infobip platform

After loging in in Salesforce Marketing Cloud, choose Settings then

Administration

In Administration go to Account and then Installed packages

In the right upper corner click New to add Infobip SMS packages

Click Add Component to add the customer journey action to the package.

Pick the Journey Builder Activity and click Next.

Step 6

Define details of Infobip customer journey action and save it. You can use the following

values:

• Name: Send SMS

• Description: Send text messages to your users

• Category: Messages

• Endpoint URL: https://api.infobip.com/marketing-cloud/1/_/sms

With this URL your preconfigured Infobip Sender id will be

used. If you wish to choose between multiple senders,

contact your account manager and you will be provided

with the custom Endpoint URL which will enable you to

choose a specific sender for each Journey you create.

Setup guide – Send SMS

This step is optional and it doesn’t impact the sending of your SMS campaign.

• In a drop down menu choose which Send SMS activity status you want to fetch.

• The SMS delivery status pairs activities by the name of the activity, it is important not to change names in

the process.

To add the Fetch SMS status activity go to Add Component within Installed

Define details of Infobip Customer Journey action and save it. You can use the following

values:

• Name: Fetch SMS status

• Description: Fetch status of your sent text messages

• Category: Messages

• Endpoint URL: https://api.infobip.com/marketing-cloud/1/_/status

Within the Journeys Dashboard name your Journey, insert the entry source, activities and control how your

Flow will look like.

Within the Journey configure

your SMS sending action

• Type in your message

template

• In a dropdown menu select the

field which consists a phone

number (MSISDN)

• Copy your Infobip API key and

paste it into this form

Use Test SMS message to send

the SMS message to yourself and

see how the message will look

like on your users mobile phones

In case of having a Decision Split make sure to determine the path criteria for each decision
