BCIU’s Driver Training Program
➊ Driver education theory instructionis available online through a part-nership with the Edward SaviozDriver Training School.
➋ Students can register atwww.KeysToDriving.com
➌ Online instruction comprises 30 hours of instruction.
➍ Curriculum complies with currentPennsylvania Department ofEducation regulations.
➎ Depending on schooldistrict policy, students may receive.25 academic credits for completing onlineinstruction.
➏ Students who completethe 30-hour course willreceive a Certificate ofCompletion with whichthey may apply for areduction in insurancepremium.*
Online Theory Instruction➐ Students who register for online instruc-tion may access the course and their pri-vate course information 24 hours a day.
➑ Tech support is available for students registered for the online course from 6 a.m. to 9:30 p.m., seven days a week.
➊ Behind-the-wheel instruction providesstudents with six hours of training–six hours behind the wheel of a carprovided by the BCIU.
➋ Curriculum complies with current PDE regulations and all instructorsare PDE-certified.
➌ Students may receive .10 academic credits for completing behind-the-wheel instruction.
➍ Students who complete the 6-hourcourse should access their “MyLearning Plan” account to print theCertificate of Driver Training to applyfor a reduction in insurance premium.*
Behind-the-Wheel Instruction
➎ Student drivers wishing to participatein the behind-the-wheel component ofdriving training must be 16 years oldand possess a current learner’s permit.
➏ Instructors will make individualappointments for behind-the-wheel training for evenings,Saturdays, or Sundays.

There is no deadline for registering forbehind-the-wheel instruction. Registrantswill be contacted by the instructor whoarranges the time and day of drivinginstructions. Names are added to thebehind-the-wheel training list as the registration forms are received.
